OK Partizan - Inđija 3:1 (superliga, round 2)

In the second round of the volleyball superliga Partizan welcomed Inđija and won over them in a very narrow match that brought nip-and-tuck fight.
We won the first game to 27:25, but the standing constantly kept on changing, once with us on the lead, then with the guests. At first they were leading to 7:8, not allowing us to grab the lead for a longer time. Inđija was still leading to 15:16, and the standing was so open that nobody could predict who’d win. Finally we took the lead (21:20) and won the set with hard fight.
The second part was the same tough, with the same, always-changing standing, being absolutely open until the end. It was 20:21 when we heated up the Parni valjak and won the set to 25:23 with blood and sweat.

It’s not easy now, a lot of players left the team. Last year’s ace scorer Milija Mrdak has gone as well as the two Nikolić’s, Marko and Petar. The current name list is full of new players.

In the third set Inđija sped up. They grabbed our throat, used black magic, bewitched us and left us behind to 8:16. It didn’t become any easier even later, they kept themselves to 13:21, finally winning it to 18:25.
For the final part we warmed up our reserve energies, so did the opponent. Very narrow battle, one point here, one point there, nerves in pieces. We had a 21:16 advantage, but Inđija reduced it to 21:20 and it was so narrow that we could feel their blood-thirsty breath on the back of our neck. Finally at 24:23 we had the match ball, made it to 25:23 and won the 3 points.
The hero of the day is Luka Veličković with 18 points, followed by Dušan Lopar with 16 points. Marko Popović scored 15 points, Dimitrije Pantić made 14. They are followed by Aleksa Polomac (7), Ivan Kostić (5), Boris Buša, Vukasin Nedeljković and Nemanja Jokanović (1-1).
If there’s any photo or video about the game, I’ll update the post.

VK Partizan - Crvena Zvezda 15:3 (Triglav Liga)

WE WON WITH 12 GOALS!

WITH 12 GOALS!!!

Amazing, unbelievable.
We should make a bronze plaquett and hang it at the entrance of the Banjica swimming pool, with date, players’s name, highlighting the goal scorers. We defeated them with 12 goals, we didn’t just humiliate them, we tore them to pieces, buried them to 3 metres deep and even danced on their graves.
You get what I mean. When it’s about an eternal derby, one excepts the two teams to clash like roaring lions. The water boils up, underwater wrestling, one-to-one fighting, one sending-off after the other, with one or maybe two goals during an entire quarter, tension, drama and everything else.
Instead it was like a training match against a well-meaning, amateur team.
We walked out to the pool, the boys jumped into the water, we grabbed the ball at the kick-off and soon Radojević scored our first goal (1:0). Greek player Tigkas was the next (2:0), then Subotić scored from penalty (3:0). Partizan’s defense line worked perfectly, and if Zvezda could ever break our wall, then there was our Rističević, who saved their attempts. Jakšić also scored in the meantime, the result of the first quarter was 4:0.
We just started the second quarter, Zvezda’s players were still jumping into the water, when Subotić scored our 5th goal. Adžić also said ’hi’ (6:0), while at the other side Rističević saved all the attempts of the opponent with the elegance of an English lord. Radojević scored another (7:0), while Rističević was doing his job in an exemplary way.
Zvezda could do nothing with us. Our players tackled them smoothly, without struggle, while their attacks were desperate and extremely weak. The difference between the two teams was at least 3 leagues, but maybe more.
Subotić scored again (8:0). Red team can thank only their goalkeeper, that we were leading with 8 goals instead of 14, at least he had some try to keep us away from the goal line. (Not much though.) They pressed their very first goal into our net, sweating blood, right before the end buzz of the first half. The half-time result was 8:1.
Then we walked out to the second half. Manojlović settled back World Order in red heads right at the beginning, to make them clear who’s the boss in the house (9:1). Here the opponent could score another goal (9:2), but it meant no problem for us, because so could Drašović (10:2).
What is more.
In the second half of the quarter the referees gave a penalty to Zvezda.
And Rističević saved it!!!
Radojević quickly scored our 11th goal, we could start the final quarter with 11:2.
The guest team tried to pick themselves together for the last quarter, they had attempts, shots from distance and from near, but in fact on this match anybody could shoot from anywhere to Dimitrije Rističević. Dimitrije Rističević rolled down the shutters, let himself cradle with the waves, maybe even made a cocktail for himself while his teammates kept on scoring at the other side of the pool. Manojlović increased our difference to 10 goals (!!!), the standing was 12:2. Zvezda scored a third goal after a lot of struggles, but we settled back the two-digit advantage with Radojević’s goal (13:3). And as it’s always better to be safe than sorry, Drašović and Gogov scored two more for the end, demolishing the opponent into tiny pieces.
Dear Grave Diggers, fellow fans, I think this is definitely a match to remember!

Radnički - RK Partizan 24:28 (superliga, round 7)

Partizan’s handball team travelled to Kragujevac today in the 7th round of superliga. The beginning of the game was a bit tough, Kragujevac took the lead (2:1, 3:2), then Radojković equalized in the 8th minute (3:3) and Mršulja took us the lead (3:4). Radnički managed to equalize (5:5, 6:6), then Živković took the lead again and from then on there was no stop until 6:12. Radnički reduced the difference to 9:12, but here Radojković, who was one of the best players tonight, scored one (9:13). Radnički threw one another goal in the 27th minute (10:13), but then Đuričić and Popović increased the difference to 5 goals. The half-time result was 10:15.
In the second half we were leading for the whole time, always with 3-4-5 or even 6 goals. 12:16, 14:20, 17:22, 19:24, 21:25. Radojković scored our last goal in the 59th minute (23:28), the home team reduced the difference with one goal at the very end (24:28).
The two heroes of the day were Mihajlo Radojković and Ivan Popović, both with 6 goals. They are followed by Igor Mršulja (4), Lazar Kukić and Darko Stevanović (3-3) as well as with Đorđe Šotra and Nemanja Živković (2-2). Andrija Đuričić joined the heroes’ list with one goal.

News

Milorad Vučelić is the new president of Partizan sports society (also known as JSD Partizan).

I feel the same way as you now, dear Reader.

Former president Duško Vujošević’s mandate has been over, a new president, vice presidents and excecutive committe were elected. Due to rumours Vučelić was voted unanimously.
That Vučelić, who depraved the football team during his approx. 1-year reigning, who sold out the best players, who got Marko Nikolić discharged, who brought here Stefan Babović and Zoran Milinković, meanwhile the team reached its rock bottom, mostly morally, and is 17 points behind the team (I won’t say their name) that is leading the league table.
The vice presidents are Nenad Golijanin and Andrea Arsović.

I wonder who and how drew the otherwise successful sports shooter Andreja Arsović into it.

The members of the executive committee are Nenad Golijanin, Miloš Vazura, Zoran Popović, Vojislav Nedić, Miroslav Nedić, Mlađan Šilobad, Aleksandar Šoštar, Velimir Marjanović, Aleksandar Blagojević, Borko Drašković and Duško Jovanović.
You can really feel the mawkish fart-smell of the overlord/vassal/servant system.
Dear fellow fans and Grave Diggers, this is a very sad day in the 70-year-old history of Partizan.

Meanwhile the football players were taken to get flu vaccine, most probably to draw away attention from this shameful president election. Don't ever ask why young, healthy professional sportsmen need such a vaccine, but obviously Bel Medic private hospital needed some extra advertisement.

VK Partizan - Szolnok 9:14 (Champions League, Round 1)

This was a terrible match.
As an extra, lousy Hungarian Sport 2 broadcasted the game with a 1-hour leap (it was an intentional leap, it could be seen like so even in the TV guide, it seems, on their planet something was more importan than Partizan), and there was no working link for RTS 2, so Average Fan had to wait, while cursing and finally listening to Hungarian commentator László Fülöp, which wasn't a top entertaining event, you can believe me.
We had a very good start. We jumped into the pool and Gavril Subotić scored almost immediately (1:0). Szolnok quickly equalized (1:1), then they hit the goalpost while sending a powerful shot to our goal. Asanović scored an amazingly cheeky goal, shooting the ball under the goalkeeper’s armpit (2:1). It could have been even 3:1, but the referee invalidated our goal, nobody actually knows why. Szolnok quickly equalized again (2:2), and then Dániel Varga didn't just took the lead for the guests, but 15 seconds before the end of the quarter he scored another goal. The result of the first part was 2:4.
The beginning of the second quarter was mostly about Szolnok's goalkeeper constantly saving Partizan's every attempt, yet at the other side of the pool they shot the ball again into our net (2:5). It started to be very nasty. Finally we got a penalty shot, Subotić scored (3:5), but Szolnok almost immediately set back the three-goal difference (3:6). Again Subotić, making it to 4:6, but Szolnok didn’t stop. They had these very long passes, someone from behind flung the ball ahead to the teammate that was sneaking around our goalmouth. Partizan’s defenders tried to get back as quickly as they could, but Szolnok’s attacker, who had to be faced only with Rističević, has thrown the ball into our net long ago, and when Partizan’s defenders arrived back to the goalmouth, the attacker was already swimming back with an evil grin on his face. The half-time result was 4:8.
Szolnok continued it even in the 3rd quarter. With Vámos's goal the standing was 4:9, he threw the ball into the net with an unlawful movement, just dropping the ball there far above Rističević, who was desperately sinking down.
Then it was 4:10.
Oh my God.
One tries not to think about what could be going on in Vladimir Vujasinović’s head.
Then we picked ourselves together a bit. Gavril Subotić scored (5:10), so did Manojlović in power play (6:10). Szolnok’s reply was two quick goals (6:12). After this Vučinić reduced the difference with a very lucky goal. He sent a distant shot to the goal, the ball hit the goalpost and fell on the water, where a weak little wave sweeped it through the goal line. 7:12. Szolnok still scored one more goal before the end of the quarter, because it is always better to be safe than sorry. (7:13)
In the last quarter Gogov scored (8:13), Szolnok’s answer was an impossible goal. Their attacker swam up all alone, nobody ever interfered, the defenders disappeared. Rističević was in a very desperate situation. That was it. 8:14. Then in the middle of the quarter Jakšić scored (9:14), from then on it was mostly about the goalkeepers and missed-out chances.

Sinđelić - FK Partizan 0:2 (Serbian Cup, 1/16 final)

The football team played against Serbian First League team Sinđelić in the 1/16 final of the Serbian Cup. No TV channels broadcasted the game

red team was more important for ArenaSport

so I have to rely on the reports of sports sites.
All reports agreed that this match again wouldn’t be put out to the window in ul. Humska, despite our victory.

(photo: Facebook/Fudbalski klub Partizan)

The first half could be a very slow, very slumberous one, with the first action coming only in the 35th minute. Šaponjić got a pass from Stevanović and shot, but the goalkeeper saved. Later in the half there was a free kick by Babović as well as an attempt in the last minute by a home team, then the referee put an end to the suffering, at least for a while.

So terrible struggles to go through, for some... They are obliged to visit urban, lower league football fields with original Chanel handbag and fur coat... right, Sneki?
(On the picture you can see Snežana Filipović, Partizan’s so-called marketing manager.)
(photo: hotsport.rs)

For the second half we picked ourselves together and managed to score a goal right in the beginning, in the 48th minute. Šaponjić got a great pass from Stevanović, he thanked it and kicked the ball right into the net. 0:1

(photo: hotsport.rs)

The second goal was scored in the 68th minute. A defender pushed Šaponjić to the ground inside the penalty area, the referee immediately whistled for penalty. Šaponjić stood behind the ball, kicked and scored, just as it’s written in the Book of Rules.

The rest is better to be forgotten.

All in one

In the past days I had no internet connection, so now you get all the events of the previous days in one.

In the 6th round of the handball superliga Partizan played eternal derby with Crvena Zvezda at the Banjica sports hall. It could have been a very tough clash, Zvezda was leading in the first time always with 1-2-3 goals, but then in the 14th minute we equalized with Radojković’s goal, then Đuričić shot and we took the lead for a short while. At the end of the first half the standing was 10:10, when Mršulja scored, probably right before the buzz, setting the half-time result to 11:10.
In the second half we kept on leading until the 40th minute, when Zvezda equalized, then they took back the lead. From then on we could only equalize here and there, even though we struggled  hard. The end result of the match was 20:22.

The volleyball superliga started last weekend. Partizan visited Vojvodina in the first round. In the first game Partizan was leading to 11:16, but Vojvodina switched the standing and won it to 26:24. In the second set was more narrow, Partizan leading to 7:8 in the beginning, but later it was 16:13 and finally the Novi Sad team won again to 25:19. In the third part the home team was leading for the whole time, winning it to 25:21 as well as the match to 3:0. The hero of the day was Dimitrije Pantić with 12 points. No photos are available, because all sports sites are a bunch of fat monkeys not even just mentioning volleyball results.

In the 7th round of Adriatic League Partizan clashed with Krka at home.
I don’t get into details, I guess everyone has seen the match together with the lousy, corrupted referees and that one, goddamn basket by the opponent, that was scored after the end buzz, and the referees still validated it.
But I brought you photos, right from Pionir Hall.

In the 15th round of Jelen SuperLiga Partizan met Mladost at an away match.
I won’t get into details now, okay?...
Everyone could see, it was a very bad, very muddy, cursed game, Mladost scoring right at the beginning (1:0). We equalized with Babović’s goal only in the 48th minute (1:1), then we picked ourselves together and took the lead with Grbić scoring in the 79th minute (2:1), but in the 88th minute Mladost scored a terrible goal, equalized and kept one point at home.

May I have a frank question?
Who is this Babović that he can always make it back to the starting eleven at every coach, and he is never ever substituted at any game, just doing some alibi hanging around on the field? How is it possible that so far nobody did (or nobody could) throw out this talentless, wooden-legged show-off from the team?

FK Partizan - Athletic Bilbao 0:2 (UEFA Europa League)

Again a game that we surely won't put to the display window, and not just because we were defeated.

This banner was still on top. "France loves Partizan". Thank you, brothers in arms

Our starting 11

Group hug before start

At the beginning the two teams were just "sampling" each other. Nothing much happened for about 8 minutes (except for Bojinov being kicked to the ground by a Basque player in the 5th minute), then in the 8th minute came a dangerous Bilbao-attack from the left side. Fabricio saved big, heading the ball out of the goalmouth.
After this we were back to the not too decisive, rather cautious ball-passing. Basques possessed the ball more, but they seemed as if they don't know what to do with it. Meanwhile we started to get stuck in our half.
In the 16th minute a weak pass arrived from the right, it flew away through the goalmouth. Fabricio headed it out.

Fabricio was the hero of the day, the Brazilian was in top form.

Then in the 18th minute Bilbao got a corner kick. Benat shot it to the goalmouth, someone headed it to the goal, Živko Živković had a great save.

I don’t even know how many goal attempts Živko Živković saved tonight. His hands should be engilded right now, and his gloves must be put on display. Available to see only for groups, for a certain admission charge.

The match went on in its rather slow pace. Bilbao-players were passing to each other, while we built a brickwall around our penalty area.
In the 24th minute Williams passed the ball to the side to Aduriz. Aduriz sent it back to Williams, finally Partizan-defenders kicked it out. Two minutes later Basques got a free kick, 22 metres from our goal line, on the left. Benat stood behind the ball, he shot, Živko Živković saved.
In the 30th minute Williams played the same trick as in the 24th minute with Aduriz. He kicked the ball to the left side, got it back, then passed it to Aduriz (mentioned above) in the middle. Aduriz headed it to our goal line, but it was too high.
In the 32nd minute Bilbao scored their first goal. They ran up on the right, Aduriz possessed the ball, he passed it to the middle, Raúl García headed it into our net. 0:1
In the 35th minute Aduriz got a pass from the distance. The assistant didn’t wave for offside, the striker ran up with two Partizan-defenders around him. They both tried to inactivate Aduriz, but despite their efforts Aduriz shot. Živko Živković again had a fantastic save.
Then in the 39th minute we could break out of the bunker a bit. Fabricio and Stevanović passed the ball to each other, tricking around Bilbao-players, then Stevanović ran up and passed the ball to the middle - the only problem was that Bojinov, who arrived in the middle, kicked into the ankle of a Bilbao-player instead of the ball.

Average Fan went out to the kitchen and started to cry.

There was one action left for the 42nd minute. Andrija Živković got the ball on the right, he dribbled a bit and shot from the penalty area line. It was too high.

Andrija Živković, here wrestling with Benat

KK Partizan’s players were watching the game from the tribune

I have no prejudices, I hate everyone. Except for Partizan

In the second half, at the 50th minute we almost scored an own goal. Raúl García got the ball a few metres from our goal line. Fabricio interrupted, kicking the ball out of the field. It flew out just a few centimetres from the goalpost.
In the 54th minute we got a free kick, about 30 metres from the goal line. Fabricio stood behind the ball, he shot, barely missing the opponent’s goal (it seemed as it slightly hit the goalpost). Three minutes later Benat got the ball in the middle. He shot from 18 metres, Živko Živković presented the Saving of the Day.
The pace was slow, nothing else happened on the field. Basque players didn’t seem to have any wish to speed things up, while we were just there... Oh, and the referee also didn’t seem to be on the top. There was one action in the 69th minute, Bilbao got a free kick, shot by Benat from 17 metres, on the left side. It was dangerous, Živko Živković again had a great save.
At this point the match totally slowed down. Nothing ever happened for 10 massive minutes. Finally in the 79th minute substitute player Grbić got the ball from Petrović. Grbić ran up to the penalty area, kicked the ball back to Petrović, Petrović shot it to the middle, but nobody could run up fast enough to catch it. Basque players immediately had a counter-attack, Williams shot, missing our goal only with millimetres.
In the 83rd minute Ninković got the ball on the left. He dribbled at the penalty area line then shot, it was too high.

Two minutes later Bilbao scored their second goal. They got a free kick about 25 metres from our goal line. Benat stood behind the ball and kicked it into our net with a classic movement. 0:2
Our one and only real attempt happened in the 90+3rd minute. After a corner kick Fabricio headed the ball almost from the goal line, but the goalkeeper saved it.

If there’s any video with the match highlights, I’ll post it. Until then you get Grave Diggers.
