Tamiš - KK Partizan 50:82 (Serbian SuperLiga play-off, Round 13)

Another easy training match.
I have to confess, I barely know any details about the game, who scored when and how many points. There was no TV-broadcast, only a semi-official stream with no commentary. I made quite a few screenshots though which I’ll post here.
But first we must warm up.

This is something brand new, this "put your legs up in the air"-figure presented by Milenko Tepić.

Miša Tumbas was there, too. No match can start without him anyway. He was standing together with the coach staff, when players ran out to the court.

At first Tamiš tried the impossible. They sped up, threw baskets, they even took the lead, first to 6:3, then keeping the pace to 10:9.

Pavlović got fed up first of the slow motion pace of Partizan, he threw a basket and took us to the lead (10:11). It quickly grew to 10:15.

We won the first quarter to 12:17.

In the second quarter there was no more glitch in the Matrix. First we made the 10-point difference.

At a point the trainer of the home team asked for timeout. While teams gathered together at the benches, Miša Tumbas walked up to the court, for the great joy of Grave Diggers.

 Our players kept on throwing the ball into Tamiš’s ring without much problem. We were at 16:33, Dallo’s free throw was coming.

At this point we were just a step away from the 20-point difference (18:37). Tamiš still tried to keep the pace. We finished the first half with 25:41.

The third quarter was easy as a pie. We made the 20-point difference at the very beginning (27:48).

Then at 27:52 the game suddenly stopped and all we could see was people gathering under the backboard on the right-hand side. Even medical assistant appeared, Average Fan froze down.

Then we got to know, in the heat of the game Miša Tumbas fell off his chair and some worried fans thought he had gotten sick.

Miša stood up - he actually jumped up -, rushed to the tribune of Grave Diggers, who welcomed him with cheer and applause. He threw them kisses.

The game continued, Boris Dallo had a great time throwing baskets in a row (32:57).

In the meantime the Captain got such icebags on his knees - definitely not for cooling himself in the summer heat

Dallo kept on scoring, either by Andrić’s assist or by himself. Glišić also threw a hook (35:61), the one and only question left was whether we can make the 30-point difference or not.
Ladies and gentlemen, we could make it. In the beginning of the last quarter Andrić threw a 3-pointer, making the standing to 35:66. Then it was 41:72. Meanwhile Petar Aranitović joined the game (at least this was the point when I recognized him on the court).

It was the easiest from then on. At the very end Bezbradica scored from free throw.

KK Partizan - Vojvodina 85:57 (Serbian SuperLiga, Round 12)

The match started with a moment of silence for the memory of basketball trainer Vladimir Arnautović, who died tragically young.
Then the boys ran out to the court and won over Vojvodina with an easy training match. There was nothing special or extra, nor any surprise. The 10-point difference was set in the first quarter (13:3). After about 6 minutes the standing was 15:5. I wanted to emphasize this, because Vojvodina scored their next basket in the second quarter, after more than 4 minutes. They couldn’t throw a single basket for almost an entire quarter. In the meantime Partizan kept on throwing the ball into the ring, the standing was 21:5 at the end of the first part. Practically the match was already won at this point.
In the second quarter the standing was 30:5, then Vojvodina finally scored (30:8). For us the only task was to keep the 20-point difference. We succeeded so much that our advantage was 26 points in the half-time (47:21).

I definitely have to mention that Vojvodina didn’t give it up, they kept on fighting for the very last moment, and for this reason they deserve respect. They fought, they tried on and on, but they looked as if they were cursed. Nothing wanted to work for them, their attempts rebounded from the ring, one after the other. In the 3rd quarter we almost crossed the 30-point difference (60:32), but only almost. This was the point Vojvodina picked themselves together and started to throw baskets. At 63:34 they made a 2:9 series, we finished the third part with 65:43.
In the last quarter we settled back the 25-point difference (70:45). Glišić had his moments as well (75:48). We were again to cross the 30-point border (83:55), and we could even afford to fool around and miss out attempts. For the very end there was Marinković’s free throw left (85:57).

KK Partizan - Tamiš 97:70 (Serbian superliga play-off, Round 6)

Routine victory.
There’s nothing much else to tell about it. Maybe that Mačvan joined the injured Saša Pavlović by not being able to take part on the match after he pulled his muscle during training.
In the beginning Tamiš played with courage and will. They attacked Partizan, at a point they even took the lead (9:10) in the first quarter. They tried to resist even in the second part, but eventually routine (and Partizan) won. Duško Vujošević sent the young players on the court (Glišić, Aranitović), and they did a great job.

At the end the only question was if we can make 100 points and/or the 30-point difference. We couldn’t, but a high five and respect to Tamiš for playing with courage and brain, and if they keep up this good work and gain some routine, they can end up as a very good team.

Asesoft Ploiesti - KK Partizan 65:85 (Eurocup)

It was an easy, training match-alike game with young players spending their first time at an international event. We could even afford to ourselves to take it easy in the last quarter and win "only" with 20 points instead of 30.
But let’s take everything after the other.
Romanians attacked us vehemently, but the heavy pace lasted only until 4:2, when Tepić threw a 3-pointer. Milosavljević added his own part (4:7). Andrić also decided it was time to run the 3-pointer factory (6:10). Mačvan showed himself, too (6:12) to turn himself later not just into a machine that carries the entire team on his back, but into a wild elephant that tears Romanians into small pieces, pushing them into ajvar and literally eating them up.
Then again Mačvan. Gagi Kapiten, too (10:17). Bogdanović also wanted to take part in the fun (10:19). The quarter’s result was 16:23, Mačvan and Dallo had a mini-show at the end.
In the first seconds of the second part Bezbradica also scored (16:25), and before the home team would have reduced the difference to a too tight result (21:25) Milosavljević put back everything to order (21:27). Then came a period when both teams could score only from free throw. First Milutinović stood to the paint area (22:29), then Dallo twice (25:33, then 27:35). After the great teamwork of Andrić and Marinković the difference became two-digit (27:37). At 30:37 again Bogdanović happened (30:39), then the Mačvan-Dallo axis (30:41), finally Bogdanović set the half-time result (32:43).
The third quarter was the Parni Valjak itself. We have never been this brutal, at least not since I’ve been watching the team’s matches.
The home team scored a 3-pointer at 34:45. Then we made an 18 (!!!!), do you get what I say, an EIGHTEEN point series!!!!! The beast broke out of Mačvan and it swept over the rest of the team. We have never scored so many 3-pointer within such a short time interval. (If we still did so, comment it, you can even link videos.)
First came Mačvan. (37:48).
Bogdanović (37:51).
Mačvan (37:54, with bonus throw).
Marinković (37:57), that’s it, the difference was 20 points here.
Mačvan again (37:59).
Bogdanović (37:62).
Tepić did his best, too (37:64).
Finally Andrić gave the coup de grace. 37:67. 30 points. If the Romanian team can stand up from here... They could, until 40:67. Then Bogdanović and Andrić found out they still have some bullets left. 40:73. 33 points. THIRTY-THREE. The end of the quarter was 42:73.
The fourth quarter was easy, we could take some breath. Bezbradica fixed the 33-point difference (42:75). Then young players debuted, Glišić, Aranitović and Kouzeloglou. Glišić even scored a basket (49:79). Then Asesoft picked themselves together and made a 14:2 series. (65:83, Tepić scored from our side.) But even then didn’t matter. At the end Milutinović scored and the 20-point difference was set back.
