Inline hockey championship has started: IHK Partizan - Crvena Zvezda 11:6

The championship started this week-end

yes, there is such a championship as well, of course with eternal derby

it looks like the teams gather together in Crna rupa sports hall in Belgrade and every team plays with all others.
Five teams were present (the sixth one, NS Stars was absent for some reason): Partizan, cz, Vojvodina, Spartak and Vitez. Partizan played two games, one against Vitez (we won to 5:4), the other against the eternal opponent.
We won that to 11:6. (3:1, 2:2, 4:1, 2:2)

All the known details about the first game are that we were leading against Vitez to 5:1 - the first quarter brought a 1:1 draw, in the second we scored a goal (2:1), the third quarter passed without goals, finally in the fourth both teams scored 3-3 goals - and the end result was open until the end.
No details are available about the derby, but the result speaks for itself.

The next round will be on 22nd May in Crna rupa sports hall.

I know the same day will be the first game of the water polo final, but if you can, and you have the chance, you can go and support the inline hockey team (too).

Current championship standings:
1. IHK Partizan 6 points
2. HK Vitez 6 points
3. SHKL CZ 3 points*
4. HK Spartak 3 points
5. HK Vojvodina 0 point
6. HK NS Stars 0 point**

Only the team marked with * played 3 games, the rest played only two (except for the team marked with **, they played none so far).

HK Partizan - HK Vitez 13:2

Excuse me for being a bit down the course with the weekend events, but when you have two eternal derbies within two days, then Average Fan throws away hack, scythe (and keyboard) and focuses only on those games. Now I try to make up lost ground.
The ice hockey team had a smooth victory over HK Vitez, and we made it without Čuković and Raković, as they got suspended after that fuss last time.
After these we won the first period to 5:0.
In the second we relaxed a bit, allowing the opponent to score one goal

so they cannot say we hadn’t been hospitable

but we were leading at the end of the period to 6:1. Finally we completed the last one with 7:1.
Our two Russians, Zhukov and Vlasov carried the team on their back, but Captain Milovanović, Zubov, Brkušanin, Filipović, Komazec and Pavlović also took their part from this victory.

The ice hockey team in the championship's play-off

HK Partizan made it to the championship play-off after defeating

killing, smashing, damaging, tearing into pieces

Crvena Zvezda to 6:4.
In the first period it was already 2:1 to us, in the second it was 6:3 and they pressured out one little goal from themselves in the last one.
Yesterday (on Monday) we met Beostar, they defeated us to 6:7 in extra time. The hero of the game was Marko Milovanović with 3 goals, he is followed by Nenad Raković (2) and Boban Čuković (1). Finally today we played against HK Vitez, that team is placed as 5th of the league table. We defeated them to 10:5.
At this point the regular championship finished. Partizan ended on the top of the league table with 28 points. Now comes the play-off, where we clash with Crvena Zvezda in the semi-final.

News and results altogether

I was brutally knocked out by a flu virus, that's the reason of the lack of blogposts in the past days. Now I try and make up all lost ground.

The basketball team has already found a new player for the place of Đorđe Gagić. The new boy is called Božo Đumić and there are only the last arrangements left to sign the contract. He can play for the first time at the match against Cibona the earliest. (On Monday, against Levski it will still be too early for him.)

(photo: mozzartsport.com)

Đumić had an enthusiastic interview with mozzartsport.com where he talked about himself being a Partizan-fan since his early years and with this contract his childhood dream would come true.

It’s possible the basketball team won’t take part in Korać Cup this year either. Duško Vujošević explained, the reason behind it is the financial state of the club.

***

Now it is sure Danko Lazović leaves FK Partizan for China. At some places it is also known that the striker signs to Beijing Entertainment, a team in the Chinese 2nd division, where former Partizan (and Videoton) player Aleksandar Stanojević is the head coach.

Tell me it’s a joke. It must be a joke that such a qualified player ends up in the Chinese (!!!) 2nd division (!!!!!!!). Why didn’t you let him to Anderlecht then, where he was (allegedly) waited with open arms?... Who must be kicked in the ass hard for this?...

Here you can read an interview with former Partizan legend Dževad Prekazi.

Several days ago unknown people attacked and beat Miša Tumbas at daylight, on a street. The reason of the attack has not been found out yet, nevertheless media quickly picked the news and published it with banner headlines. What it was still worth for that we could find out, Miša Tumbas lives in inhumane conditions in a ruined building with no heat and running water in a village named Barič about 20 km from Belgrade. Grave Diggers immediately joined to help him. The house has been disinfected since then and fans are about to paint and clean the place as well as give blankets and a new bed to Miša among others. They even opened a bank account where anyone can send money to help him.

I don’t upload photos about Miša’s place for solidarity. If any of you wants to see what kind of conditions Miša Tumbas had to, has to live in, just ask Google.
To those who attacked him: you’re rats. The most coward among them. Miša Tumbas is an ill, old man, who couldn’t harm a fly. Yet you attacked him, beat him and kicked him. I just wish you after all these to meet a few of the angriest, most vengeful and strongest Grave Diggers in a dark, narrow street. And if you can still talk afterwards, you can tell me how it was going.

Until then, a photo of Miša

Partizan’s ice hockey team won over HK Vitez to 9:2 yesterday. (1:2, 3:0, 5:0)

***

The volleyball team won 3:0 at Đerdap’s home. (20:25, 20:25, 22:25) Marko Nikolić was the hero of the day with his 19 points, so much that he even became the best player of January.

Nikolić said humbly, it was not his merits, but the team’s and collective work.

We love you, too, Marko.

Finally, the block of the day, performed by Bogdan Bogdanović.
