There is a bunch of news and results I owe you. Some of them are fresh, some of them are from the previous days. You get them all now, in one post.
I start with the bad news.
Partizan was defeated by the red team in the first match of the volleyball play-off final. This was our first, our VERY FIRST defeat in the entire season. No team could win over us until now.
It was awful. Red players grabbed our throat in the first part and strangled us until they won it to 17:25. They were on the lead for the whole time.
In the second game we picked ourselves together. In the beginning red team still tried to show off, but at 5:6 Lopar equalized, then Majstorović took us on the lead (7:6). We made it to 15:9, then 20:11, finally we won to 25:17 and equalized the result (1:1).
The third part nothing worked for us. Zvezda was ahead always with 2-3 points. There were moments when we could equalize, but it never lasted long. It was a long and tough battle, finally the red stripes won it to 21:24. They were back on the lead. (1:2)
Then came the last period. At first we were leading (4:2), then Zvezda equalized. From then on it was a nip and tuck game. Until 10:9 we kept ourselves quite well, but then, well, it is so hard to say it out, but red team had more resources. Or I don’t know. They won the last game to 13:15 as well as the first match.
The hero of the day was Marko Nikolić, he scored 23 points. He is followed by Lopar and Majstorović, they both had 13 points. Mrdak was playing with injury for the entire match, still he made 12 points. The other scorers are Petar Nikolić (7), Popović (3) and Kostić (1).
Second match will be on Sunday from 16:30.

The basketball team is again targeted by the Serbian Basketball Association. They announced that Partizan would be suspended from the superliga as long as they could reconcile their "outstanding financial obligations".
Let me remind all these jerks, most of all the No. 1. moron Gogić that it was their endless idiotism, servility and narrow-mindedness that drove Partizan into this desperate financial situation. All those impossible and ridiculous punishments of last season threw the team to the edge of bankruptcy, and now you want to suspend them, because they are out of money after your punishments. Congratulations. And I thought last season was the bottom point. How wrong I was. May you all get stuck on a fully crowded, slowly rolling Ikarbus stuck in the Friday afternoon traffic jam, where at least three blood-thirsty Bus Plus controllers are hunting for you, bastards.

Let’s pull our boat to peaceful waters (though in the beginning it will still be a bit rocky). The water polo team qualified to the semifinal of the Serbian league play-off, where they clashed with Crvena Zvezda. The first match was terrible, the red team drowned Partizan into the water, winning to 4:9 over us. But in the second game Partizan stroke back and won to 7:9, equalizing the standing to 1:1. It was not easy, the game was a draw even in the half-time (4:4), and red team took the lead in the third quarter (5:4). But then came Gogov and his two fantastic goals (5:6). Vico followed his example (5:7), Stojanović also scored (5:8). Mandić put the dot to the letter "i" in the last quarter with a distant shot (5:9). No matter how hard Zvezda tried, they couldn’t win over Partizan. The end result is 7:9, it’s up to the third game to find out who’ll be Radnički’s opponent in the final.

There are these occasions, when Average Fan gets a bit emotional, when e.g. the spring season of the current football championship starts and the boys run out to the field. How very much I missed the game, the broadcasts, cheering fans...

The first mentionable action happened in the 4th minute, when Lukač was wandering a bit far from his goalmouth and Voždovac’s attackers suddenly appeared at the penalty area. Our goalkeeper made a sliding tackle, kicking the ball out of the sideline. (Then he ran back quickly to the goal line.)
Not much later Ninković was rushing up on the left side, but his pass was caught by defenders. Then in the 14th minute Babović gave a pass ahead to Kojić, who was standing inside the penalty area. He headed it to Ninković, who was sneaking around there. Džigi thanked and walked in the net with the ball. 1:0
In the 17th minute it was again us in action. Živković passed the ball to Volkov, who gave it to Brašanac from the left side, but the chance was missed.
5 minutes later Voždovac was attacking. We could demilitarize them, but here came a period when it was mostly about how to kick Partizan-players on the ground. Živković spent more time laying on the grass than running, then in the 24th minute Kojić fell on the ground (you could hear the striker’s painful scream even through the stream).
Then came the 25th minute. Voždovac’s Nigerian player got the ball in the middle. He dribbled one here and one there and passed it to Karaklajić. The midfielder ran up to our penalty area and passed the ball into the middle. Lukač was watching shocked as Slovenian player Škerjanc appeared out of nowhere, behind his back and headed the ball to the net. 1:1
In the 30th minute Voždovac was attacking again. Odita sent a shot from 20 metres, thankfully it flew out of the field above the crossbar. We could instantly go for a counter-attack, but Ninković’s shot was too wide.

Meanwhile fans of the southern tibune was chanting "Uprava napolje" loud (in English, approx: "Out with the management!").
In the 37th minute Ninković again missed a chance, then 3 minutes later it was Bandalovski sending a shot to Voždovac’s goal line. The shot ended as a corner, Volkov headed it to the goal line, but it was too wide.
In the 42nd minute the world was again watching Bandalovski, but not necessarily for the reason the defender originally wanted. A Voždovac player pushed him down to the ground, and after all these the referee gave the guests a free kick. Lukač saved. Two minutes later we were possessing the ball and we got a free kick. Drinčić sent it in from the left side, Volkov shot it to the goal line while falling on the ground, but Supić saved it.
It was already extra time, we again got a free kick, approx. 20 metres from the goal line. Drinčić was standing behind the ball, but his kick dropped down on the wall. Živković immediately grabbed the ball and made a 25-metre shot. The goalkeeper had to fly in the air to save it to corner.
The very last minute had a Voždovac-attack left, Odita shot from 15 metres, but it was too wide.

The second half started with Volkov getting kicked on the ground. In the 49th minute we got a corner. Drinčić kicked, Volkov got it, but the goalkeeper saved with leg, and the ball dropped right in front of Branko Ilić. Ilić headed, the ball fell into the net. 2:1
In the 53rd minute Voždovac attacked. The ball arrived in the middle from the right, being about 25 metres from the goal line. The shot was dropped from a Partizan defender, right in front of Zlatković, who immediately shot. Lukač jumped and saved. Corner. Finally Brašanac cleaned the area. Two minutes later the guests got a free kick, it was headed on corner by Kojić. In the 57th minute we headed for a counter-attack after a corner. Živković gave a great pass to Kojić from the left, the striker headed it over the crossbar.

In the 61st minute Ninković was maneuvering to be able to get a corner. It was cleaned by the defenders, but we still possessed the ball. Volkov tried with a heading, the goalkeeper pushed the ball in front of Kojić, the striker shot too wide. Two minutes later Voždovac started a counter-attack after a corner, but Bandalovski interrupted. In the 68th minute the Bulgarian player dribbled himself through the guest team’s half and passed the ball to Ninković, but his shot flew out of the field above the crossbar. A minute later the goalkeeper could barely save Drinčić’s corner, making another one for us. From that corner the guest team grabbed the ball and wanted to head for a counter-attack, but we got the ball back. Živković passed it to Babović from the right, but his heading was too wide.
In the 72nd minute, after a counter-attack there was an upheaval in front of Partizan's goalmouth. A shot came from the left, defenders saved it to corner. A minute later Bandalovski made an amazing sprint while a Voždovac-attacker was trying to find his way to our goal line. The Bulgarian defender won, the ball ran out through the sideline. Throw-in for Voždovac, then the attacker kicked the ball into our goalmouth. Odita was standing there between two defenders. The kick was awful, our defenders headed it down, but the ball dropped in front of the Nigerian, who shot and the ball was in the net. 2:2
In the 79th minute Lovrenčić made a too distant shot above the crossbar from 8 metres. After the goal kick the ball got back to Voždovac (a Partizan defender just simply lost the ball). They didn’t waste time, Džugurdić made a shot from 20 metres. The ball dropped into the net from Lukač’s hand. 2:3
There was about a handful of Voždovac-fans who made a happy dance on the tribune after this goal, while the entire southern tribune was shouting "Uprava napolje".
In the 85th minute after a row of amazing dribbles and passes Volkov headed the ball right into the goalkeeper’s hands. Almost immediately Ninković ran up on the right and passed to Šaponjić, who just joined the game as a substitute. Šaponjić ran up to the corner flag and passed the ball into the middle. A Partizan-player was waiting there for the ball, but a too eager Voždovac-defender was quicker - and the ball dropped into the net from him. Own goal. 3:3
In the 88th minute Marinković had a distant shot, but missed. Two minutes later Voždovac was again heading to our goal line and it looked to be rather dangerous. Our defense line cleaned the area, but it wasn’t a too easy task... For the 92nd minute there was a Partizan free kick left, the referee sent Drinčić backwards at least 4 times before allowing him to kick, because the midfielder was not at the very place where the foul previously happened... Finally Drinčić could kick the ball into the middle, but the chance was missed.
At the end of the game the bitter choir of Grave Diggers still chanted anti-management rhymes instead of the usual singing and greeting the players, while the few fans of Voždovac have probably never been happier than now, to be able to steal one point from Partizan. And the thing is, dear fellow fans, we can be grateful that they stole only one and not three points from us, and we didn’t start the season with a humiliating loss.
Update: some news resources say, the always tight-lipped, barely outspoken Saša Ilić didn't make a secret of being upset after the match, in the locker-room. The team captain put the entire team in their place, also a few players got a personal scolding from him.
And he was right.

So far it’s still unofficial, the news leaked out after today’s (Tuesday) team management meeting. The team leadership had an official press release, too, which is properly evasive and self-adulating. The main (hidden) point is that the management got scared of the possible fury and rage of Grave Diggers.

Still talking about Marko Nikolić: Novi Pazar filed a lawsuit against Partizan’s trainer for libel. Nikolić had a heated dispute with the referee of the match played at the beginning of December, then at the post-match press conference he said angrily: this weekend was the rock bottom of Serbian football, adding, it was not the first case such things had happened in Novi Pazar.
Redžep Korać, Novi Pazar’s secretary general said, Marko Nikolić "heated up religious and national arguments among people living in Serbia with his nationalistic words". He added: such words and actions are criminal acts upon the laws of Serbia, with the possible sentence of two to five years of imprisonment. Novi Pazar’s secretary general said, he hoped everyone would learn to take responsibility for their words and actions once and for all, even if this person in question is Partizan’s trainer.
It shows well the seriousness of the case that even deputy prime minister Rasim Ljajić had a word, questionning the efficiency of the police for still not finding the fan who hit Marko Nikolić on the head with a firecracker.

Milenko Tepić got injured on Partizan’s Tuesday training. There are no informations on the seriousness of his injury, how much pause he’ll need, if he needs any.
Saša Pavlović will be able to return at the match against Cedevita on 3rd January, if all goes well. But Edo Murić needs at least 2 more weeks for complications. We won’t be able to see him playing before 17th January.

Former Partizan basketball player Dejan Musli signed to Mega Leks.
Partizan's leadership had a re-election of the board. Former president Dragan Đurić’s mandate expired. the assembly elected - allegedly - unanimously Zoran Popović as the new president of FK Partizan.

Ljubiša Tumbaković, Milorad Vučelić and Vojislav Nedić were voted for vice-presidents. Tumbaković is in charge for sports-related issues and tasks, Vučelić is in charge for media-related issues, while Nedić is the legal expert.
The other members of the leadership: Milomir Gliorijević, Milan Obućina (main secretary of Sports Association Partizan), Srđan Cekić (CEO of Serbian Postal Savings Bank), Ivan Maričić, Dragan Bjelogrlić (actor), Nenad Janković, dr. Dragan Veljović and Vladimir Vrbaški.
General director of the club is 28-year-old Miloš Vazura, who worked in the Ministry of Justice until now. Dragan Ćirić got the position of the club’s sports director.
Fans aren’t impressed about the new leadership to say the least. Some even started to bury the club, while the creative minds of Grobarski Trash Romantizam expressed their negative feelings with this piece of art.

The Serbian Football Association discussed today the happenings at the match against Novi Pazar. The disciplinary committee punished Marko Nikolić with 3 months (!!!) of suspension. The trainer must also pay 300 000 dinar fee. The suspension came into force from 11th December, 2014.
All this because he was hit on the head with a firecracker. Idiots.

Some sports sites reported that Partizan’s former, Voždovac’s current player, Stefan Babović might return to ul. Humska. It’s allegedly Marko Nikolić’s explicit request. There are no details yet, but some news mention the player mentioned it on his Facebook-profile.
The match started with a minute of silence for the memory of Blagoje Paunović, who passed the day before the match.
Then the guests immediately attacked Partizan’s goal. Thankfully they missed, it was even offside. The answer came with Ninković, he had a distant shot, the goalkeeper saved it to corner. The kick was cleared by defenders, then Ninković got the ball again and passed it to Drinčić. Drinčić shot, the goalkeeper caught the ball.
In the 8th minute Ninković was again in the centre of attention. He ran up, had a great solo, dribbled himself through the defenders and shot, the goalkeeper saved.
After the first 10 minutes the match’s pace slowed down. The next chance came in the 17th minute. Škuletić sent the ball to Marković with a great "Oxford" movement. The midfielder shot, the goalkeeper saved. Asteras had one or two weak tries in the meantime, as for us, we got a corner in the 23rd minute. Stanković headed the ball towards the net, the goalkeeper caught it. (Theodoropoulos had a busy day in the office...) 3 minutes later Ninković gave a pass to Grbić. He kicked the ball to Volkov, the defender shot, Theodoropoulos saved.
Asteras had a distant shot in the 30th minute, Gianniotas did it from 18 metres. Lukač had a great save. Four minutes later we got a free kick about 20 metres from the goal line. Drinčić stood behind the ball, shot, the goalkeeper caught it.
Here came a period when fans singing and holding banners were much interesting and entertaining than the match itself...
Then in the 42nd minute Živković got the ball from Ninković and ran up. He got a defender on his back inside the penalty area and the two started to wrestle. Partizan’s midfielder fell on the ground and stayed there with a painful face. RTS replayed it in slow motion a few times from different angles. It was clear Asteras’s defender did not touch the ball while pushing Živković down. Yet the Polish referee was adamant and waved for goal kick, despite Volkov’s angry gesticulations.
Asteras had a try left for the last minute of the first half, but the ball flew out of the field above the crossbar.
The second half started with the Chance of the Day (or rather The Missed Chance of the Day...) Škuletić got the ball from the right side and shot. The goalkeeper saved, the ball dropped in front of Živković. The midfielder was tackled by a defenders, after this he kicked the ball precisely to Ninković. Ninković shot - and the ball hit the goalpost. Two minutes later he tried again, now hitting the goalkeeper.
In the 53rd minute we got a free kick. Asteras’s goalkeeper saved to corner, while players were wrestling with each other. Ninković fell on the ground, then Volkov, too, finally the referee showed the yellow card to Volkov. (Why?...)
There was silence until the 68th minute, finally Škuletić ran up, dribbling himself through Asteras-players on the left side and shot. It was too high, the ball left the field above the crossbar.
A minute later he got a pass from Volkov. Škuletić jumped up to head the ball into the net, but he missed the ball with just one step. In the 71st minute he shot again, now from the right side, the ball rolled out of the playing ground near the left goalpost. Škuletić kicked again the ball to the goal in the 71st minute, this time from the right side, the ball rolled out of the playing field near the left goalpost.
In the 74th minute Grbić was substituted by Saša Ilić. The audience was cheering loud and ecstatic chanting "Jedan je Ilić kapiten".
A minute later Asteras got into a chance-alike situation, first time after long minutes. The ball got stuck on Partizan defenders, finally Lukač saved.
In the 76th minute Škuletić got a marvellous pass from Ninković - and shot way above the crossbar.
Two minutes later opponent player Fernández kicked it to our goal, but it was both weak and way too wide. It did not cause any headache for Lukač. In the 84th minute we got a free kick above 25-30 metres from the goal line. The shot hit the wall, there was an upheaval then, but we still possessed the ball. Finally Luka headed the ball to the goal, but missed.
In the 90th minute Lukač had an amazing save. He was all alone against about 3 opponent attackers passing the ball to each other, while our defenders were watching amused.

Football-related news is that Marko Nikolić was punished by FSS after the scandal at the match against Novi Pazar. (The story still keeps itself that Partizan’s trainer told referee Glođović what to do, how and with whom in a not really literary style after the referee was unwilling to pause the match when home fans threw a firecracker to Nikolić’s head.) FSS said Nikolić is banned "until further notice". Hereby I send my most sincere congratulations to everyone at the association, as Partizan will not play any official match until the middle of next February. I hope those smart people there will receive a Nobel Prize soon.
It very much seems so this was Volkov's last match wearing Partizan's jersey :( The defender plans to transfer to another club during this winter. In an interview he said: his contract will expire next summer. If he can find a new team now, then Partizan can still earn from his transfer.
Now raise yourself and salute for him.
This match was about Saša Pavlović.
Saša Pavlović, who was burning on thousand million degrees, who humiliated former Mega Vizura, now Mega Leks (but still operating in panties-pink and baby-blue outfit) to pieces and made a show together with the others that I tell you, dear fellow fans, this will be a match to remember.
Well, not because Pavlović was kissed by Krstić in the heat of the battle.
At first Mega Leks was leading to 0:6. Tepić threw a basket after more than 4 minutes. Mačvan scored twice, then Milutinov also gave a life-sign - and we equalized (8:8). What is more, Saša Pavlović took us on the lead and even increased the difference (12:8) with such a Tepić-assist that made Average Fan’s eyes wet. From this we were keeping our advantage. And if maybe Saša Pavlović made any mistake, Milutinov was immediately there and BANG.
At 15:12 Marinković threw a 3-pointer, because it’s better to be safe than sorry. The end of the quarter was 18:14.
In the second quarter Tepić galooped out to the floor, looked around and scored (20:14).
We increased to 25:16, but someone should tell me (it’ll be fine into the comment box) what reduced Milosavljević’s and Andrić’s 3-pointer into simple 2-pointer scores and why Mačvan’s goal was invalid... Nevertheless, we were on the lead, to 29:21. Then to 32:27. Then Bezbradica also scored (38:31). Pavlović worked hard and finally made our advantage two-digit (41:31).
"I scored thiiiiiis big, breeeeeee!"
And just before the half-time we could see such a brilliant teamwork by Pavlović, Marinković and Gagić that made Pionir Hall explode.
In the second half, right at the very beginning there was again a fantastic collaboration among Pavlović, Milosavljević and Gagić (45:36). If I find any video about it, I put it here, I promise. Meanwhile Mega Leks reduced the difference to 47:41, we quickly made a 6:1-series as an answer (thanks to Gagić and Mačvan) and the standing changed to 53:42. Gagić showed again as The Destroying Force (56:46), then at 57:49 referees punished Duško Vujošević with two technical fouls at a time, just two minutes before the end of the quarter.
As it was found out later, Partizan’s trainer questioned referee Ilija Belošević’s judgement (and most probably his mental state as well) after Belošević fouled Milutinov for blocking Kešelj. After the dispute the referee put two technical fouls on Vujošević even without taking a breath between them. Partizan’s head coach had to leave the playing ground. Then hell broke loose mostly because Vujošević did not want to leave the ground, also because he clearly told the referee what he should do, how and with whom... The referee said, the match would stay on halt until Vujošević stays at the bench. Finally Dragan Todorić, KK Partizan’s president took the trainer by his arm and guarded him to the tunnel that leads to the locker-rooms.
The upset trainer said "Belošević is an idiot" the post-match press conference. Adriatic League’s delicate gentlemen up there at the Olympos didn’t really appreciate Vujošević’s determined and clear-sighted point of view - they punished the team to pay 3100 euros as a recompense to Adriatic League and banned Duško Vujošević for 3 matches. Bravo, gentlemen. Greetings to you up there. I hope you’ll get a hiccup fit soon.
Meanwhile Mega Leks equalized (and the referees overlooked a Partizan-player being pushed on the floor). We went for the last quarter with 59:59, and yes, the equalizing basket came right at the end buzz.
Dallo denying all laws of physics
Before the fourth quarter Duško Vujošević appeared again at the bench. This again took some time, referees seemed to be more and more nervous as they gesticulated widely, pointing at the exit. In the meantime Pavlović again took us on the lead (62:59), and scored another, for safety’s sake (65:59). Mega Leks reduced it to 68:66, so it was high time to kickstart the Steam Roller. The Pavlović-Tepić-Milutinov axis made a marvellous 9:2 series that was crowned with this:
The last minutes of the quarter were about self-confident leading. Pavlović and Tepić were throwing baskets, Gagić had a giant block. (Pity they forgot about Bojić, yet it was still one of the greatest blockades of the game.)
We brought back our two-digit advantage, but the referees just had to give two free throws to Mega Leks. We could still win with 9 points.
The Disciplinary Commission of Adriatic League banned Duško Vujošević for one game for his technical fouls against Krka, while Partizan basketball team was punished for 2100 euros. From this amount the head coach’s fouls cost 600 euros altogether; the rate of Vujošević not leaving the play-field immediately is 1000 euros, and the fact he afterwards told the referees straight to go to hell costs 500 euros and one match missed.
Why do I have the impression that Adriatic League boss Josip Bilić and Serbian Basketball Association president Dragan Gogić are relatives?...
Nikola Milutinov is in hospital. Nothing serious happened, KK Partizan's center had to undergo a tonsillectomy at the Belgrade City Clinics. To make all fans sure he is in the best hands, the operation was performed by Prof. Dr. Rade Kosanović. The anaesthetist was Dr. Dragan Marinković - both medicals are great fans of Partizan.
Milutinov must stay in hospital for the weekend, he can go home on Monday. He has to rest at least for two more weeks.

Marko Nikolić was punished by the Serbian Football Association for that red card he got at the match against Radnički last week. The trainer is not allowed on the bench at the upcoming match against Donji Srem (this Sunday at 19:00), and he has to pay a 200 000-dinar-fee as well.
The reason behind it all is that he got the red card because he "got into conflict" with the opponent players. Nikolić himself said only that he wanted to prevent a major incident.
I got this forbiddance that he is not allowed on the bench. But for God's sake, this 200 000-dinar fee is way too much.
