Superliga, round 17: Javor - FK Partizan 0:2

I love Ivanjica. This town enchants me every time, and when Partizan play there, sometimes I’m busier staring at the misty mountains surrounding the football pitch than actually watching the game.
I must get to Ivanjica. I must see the mountains and the houses in the valley. Here is a photo about the town and its main street (source: skyscrapercity.com), enjoy.

As for the game itself, we had great luck, because we could score from our very first attack in the 10th minute. Janković ran up from a counter-attack, shot and scored, the goalkeeper was just blinking, like a fish in the shopping bag. (0:1) Then all that happened was that there was some pace (it was slowly gone after the 20th minute…), but no attempts. Though in the 23rd minute the ball fell into the net on the Ivanjica side of the pitch, but the referee whistled it off, fouling Tawamba (there was some wrestling in the goalmouth). Goal-kick. Javor had a chance in the 27th minute, but the shot was too wide. Then Ožegović was dancing on my nerves (most probably not just on mine…) in the 31st minute. He was in the goalmouth, Tawamba crossed from left, and Ožegović, well, he simply fell on his arse, while the ball rolled away. Ouch… The pace slowed down, all those ideas we still had (BWAHHAHAHA, we, having ideas?... Joke of the year…), were gone, too. Finally it was Janković again who got fed up with it all saying “go fuck yourselves, check this”, ran up and scored our second goal. (0:2) (photo: partizan.rs)

Sometimes I don’t know what to think about Janković. Sometimes he is like depression itself on two legs, just hanging around the pitch, not even touching the ball. Then, like now, he runs, scores (one or more goals), organizes attacks, USES HIS HEAD, not just to forward the ball, but to think, too. He definitely needs a Marko Nikolić-alike coach who’s not only a coach, but also psychologist, educator and second father as well.

As for the second half, let’s just forget it.
It says all that I turned on the TV in the 63rd minute to watch the rerun of Atletico Madrid - Real Madrid on Sport 2 Channel, because I needed something that is real football, not just “contains football in tracks”.
On this game in Ivanjica we had two huge chances, both missed out (first in the 65th minute, the non-bald Miletić shot too wide from 5 metres, then in the 75th Tošić kicked the ball into the goalkeeper from 3 steps), then Stojković had to perform a great save in the 80th minute, when Mikanivić had a distant shot.
That’s all.

FK Javor - FK Partizan 0:2 (superliga, round 4)

Call the Patriarch. A miracle happened.
We won a match!
It’s really a miracle, considering what a terribly boring game it was.
In the beginning the team had some pace. In the 5th minute Bojinov thought he could score a goal, but the ball flew over the crossbar with just a few centimetres. Then in the 13rd minute for the biggest surprise we took the lead. Again Bojinov shot, now from the goalmouth, but he hit the crossbar. Then it fell right in front of Radović, who also shot, it was an unmissable attempt and this time the ball ended in the box. It all happened so quick

remember, it was still the beginning, we had the pace

that the cameraman of ArenaSport couldn’t follow the ball’s swift movement. 0:1

Vulićević apparently feels the weight of the moment; not just that we scored a goal from action, not just that we took the lead, but it was all achieved by Radović
(photo: partizan.rs)

This goal shook up Javor, they started to attack, but they seemed to be a bit overly careful. Nevertheless Partizan got stuck to their half for a while. The home team had a great chance in the 27th moment, but the ball hit Miletić as it was flying towards the box and dropped back downfield.
Then the pace slowed down after the 30th minute. The players were just passing the ball around, sometimes they tried with some attack-alike action, which were blocked by defenders on both sides. Our 3rd attempt on target was in the 40th minute, this time Saša Ilić had a try, no success.
There was one action left for the 45th minute, but only for Average Fan to have something to curse about: Đurđić

seriously, this guy touched the ball for the first time here

ran up. The goalkeeper ran out of the goalmouth, Đurđić dribbled away and tried to get ahead with the ball, but it rolled through the penalty area, then finished its way through the sideline.
The second half brought no action. The players were running up and down, with no attempt at all. The first trying was in the 62nd minute, a Javor-player shot, Šaranov could touch the ball, finally Balažic kicked it downfield.
Then in the 69th minute Partizan got a penalty shot. Miletić was kicked to the ground inside Javor’s penalty area, it was clearly a penalty. Mihajlović stood behind the ball, shot and scored. 0:2
From then on the match died. Ball-passing here and there, knocking it around, doing nothing. Partizan didn’t push themselves, Javor resigned themselves to the defeat. At the end there was some action though, in the 88th minute Đurđić missed out a chance

he did absolutely nothing else in the entire second half
and this soulless, talentless kangaroo cost 400 000 €

then in the 86th minute Bjedov headed the ball to the box after a corner-kick, but he hit the crossbar. A very last attempt happened in the 91st minute, Balažic headed the ball to the box, but he also hit the crossbar instead.

Javor Matis - FK Partizan 1:2 (superliga, round 29)

I have to confess you all: in secret I can’t wait in every season for Partizan to play against Javor at an away game. Every single time I’m amazed by Ivanjica, the town where the stadium of Javor Matis can be found. It’s surrounded by mountains, with thick forests on the mountain-sides and beautiful little houses around the place.

As an extra the sun was shining beautifully above the Dinari Alps
(screenshot/ArenaSport 1)

In secret I’d love if Partizan played more against Javor. Or if Partizan had a stadium in Ivanjica (as well), and played there (as well).
As for the match, we didn’t waste much time. In the 5th minute Saša Ilić passed to Bojinov in the middle. He forwarded the ball to Mihajlović. Mihajlović dribbled among the defenders, then kicked the ball with a flat shot right into the box. 0:1
In the first 20 minutes we possessed the ball quite a lot. We had been continuously there around Javor’s penalty area - just with no goal attempts. Still the home team was stuck on their half. They could break out once, in the 7th minute, but Šaranov interfered.
In the 19th minute Lukić got the ball after a corner-kick. He shot, it was too high. The home team immediately ran up for an attack. Miletić arrived on the left and crossed to the middle. Bandalovski blocked. Throw-in for Javor, they were back right there to our goalmouth, finally, if I could see well, Gogoua cleared the area.
Afterwards we got a row of corner-kicks, at least four, and we missed out all four chances. Once Mihajlović crossed to the middle from the right. Bojinov was about to receive, but once again, not for the first time, and for surely not the last time he missed it out, with just a step behind the ball, it was a pain to see.

My previous blogpost came to my mind when I was grumbling about strikers. I was sure, we would be totally useless even with a striker - I’m not happy that finally I was right (more or less).

Then in the 29th minute Bogosavac passed to Lukić. Lukić arrived on the left, then crossed to the middle - most probably to Bojinov, but Crnomarković appeared out of the blue. The defender obviously wanted to block, but for his unluck the ball dropped from his feet right into the box. Own goal. 0:2

Never mind, we can still celebrate
(photo: partizan.rs)

In the 32nd minute Javor got a free kick approx. 25 metres from our goal line. The kick left the field above the crossbar. In the 36th minute the ball dropped onto Dražić’s head after a throw-in. Dražić forwarded it, it was dangerous, but Šaranov caught it.
As the game passed by, Javor possessed the ball more and more. In the 37th minute an attack came on the right. Docić got the pass, he immediately shot from the distance, it was too high.
Three minutes later they missed out a great chance. Javor attacked on the right side, then the attacker crossed to Gafurov on the other side of the field. Gafurov barely missed it. One of our defenders pushed the ball out through the baseline. After the corner-kick there was a big goalmouth scramble, finally Jovanović kicked the ball downfield. In the 43rd minute Javor again tried. Dražić possessed the ball, our defenders desperately tried to tackle him, without success. Finally Šaranov punched it downfield.
Javor kept on pushing, but they didn’t have too many actual attempts. Here at the end of the first half we got a bit stuck on our side and it seemed that we didn’t really know what we wanted.
It didn’t get much better even later on.

By the way, does anyone know what’s going on with Brašanac? Since the eternal derby he is like his own shadow. Earlier he was always in play, organizing attacks, tackling opponents, passing, crossing the ball and he was dangerous to the goal line numerous times. Now he has been invisible for weeks. I can barely hear his name during matches. Even if he gets the ball, he seems to try to get rid of it as quickly as possible. What happened to him? What’s wrong with this otherwise great, loyal Partizan-player, who is typically this "silent, reliable basic player" of the team?

Second half, 47th minute. Jovanović ran up in the middle with the ball and passed to Bojinov. He wanted to forward it to Mihajlović, but a defender blocked.
I mentioned it only because this was the one and only event for long minutes that was worth to mention.
In the 56th minute Bogosavac and Dražić were wrestling for the ball on the right side. Finally Javor’s player won and dribbled himself to the middle. He wanted to pass to his teammate arriving right there, but Bandalovsik threw himself into the way.
In the 63rd minute Mihajlović suddenly ran up, after Javor’s entire defense line seemingly fell asleep. For the home team’s great luck their goalkeeper was still awake, ran out of the goalmouth and saved.
Javor continued to pressure us, all in vain. We played this "come what may"-kind of game, as if we entered the field with absolutely no tactics.
Then in the 73rd minute Miletić had a distant shot to our goal. Šaranov wanted to save, but... as if he wanted to catch a butterfly instead. He jumped to save Miletić’s shot, but the ball dropped out of his hand and rolled away. Dražić was right there, he took the chance and shot, right into the middle of the net. 1:2, one of the most embarrassing goals we got, seriously.
The goal fired Javor up, they attacked even heavier. They couldn’t break through our defense though, even though, well, to be very honest, our backline wasn’t on top either. Our defenders kicked the ball to wherever they were looking at. We didn’t even try to pretend anymore that we know what we were doing. We played the most outrageous football.
In the 87th minute we could somehow build up an attempt. Bogosavac ran up on the left and crossed to Kosović on the other side. Kosović shot and hit the crossbar with the ball.
Javor kept us under pressure, but they couldn’t equalize. At the very end, in the 94th minute Stojaković had one last shot left to try with, but Šaranov saved.

FK Partizan - Javor 3:2 (Jelen SuperLiga, Round 14)

All eyes were watching ul. Humska tonight. After we almost beat ourselves again on Wednesday, the team management discharged Zoran Milinković

rumours speak about "mutual termination of the contract" - I wonder how much it was "mutual"...

and they immediately found the next one to sit on the bench: Partizan’s former player, Ljubinko Drulović.

Like a boss - Drulović on the bench against Javor
(photo: partizan.rs)

He was immediately thrown into deep water: domestic league match just 3 days after the appointment with a crashed team, and next week there is an EL-match waiting for him.
Drulović started with throwing Babović out of the team and gave the captain’s armbad to Brašanac.

I want it to be like this in the future, too.

Then the team walked out to the field to clash with Javor.

(photo: partizan.rs)

In the 4th minute Andrija Živković got the ball from Brašanac and sent a shot right there to the goal line. The shot was flat and weak, the goalkeeper easily caught it. In the 8th minute Bojinov shot the ball to the middle from the left, it caused no pain either for Đogatović.
But in the 10th minute Average Fan got at least a handful of new grey hair.
Ostojić was possessing the ball at the back. He wanted to pass it to Fabricio at the other side of the field. Javor’s striker, Dražić was sneaking around, he jumped there, grabbed the ball and ran up to the goal line. Fabricio was running behind him desperately, but it was all in vain. Dražić shot the ball into the net, Živko Živković had absolutely no chance. 0:1
Then, as misfortunes never come alone, in the 15th minute Brašanac got injured. It was so serious that he had to come off.

(photo: partizan.rs)

Ninković substituted him, he got the captain’s armband as well.

(photo: hotsport.rs)

In the 16th minute it was him who passed the ball to Andrija Živković. Živković was dribbling on the right side for a while, then sent the ball to Bojinov in the middle. Bojinov shot, it was too high.
It was visible that the sudden goal shocked Partizan. The team struggled, while Javor seemed to be heartened up. In the 18th minute Ninković possessed the ball. He kicked it to Andrija Živković, he shot from the penalty area line, the goalkeeper saved. Two minutes later Grbić ran up on the left side, but he was dribbling too long, finally he was tackled.
In the 21st minute Eliomar (or maybe Ajuru, I’m not sure) shot from the distance, but the ball almost flew out of the stadium. A minute later Andrija Živković ran up on the left and passed to Lukić.

(photo: partizan.rs)

Lukić kicked it ahead to Bojinov, it was a HUGE chance, Bojinov shot from the goalmouth, Javor’s goalkeeper had an even more huge save.

(photo: partizan.rs)

Bro, if chewing your jersey helps you to score a goal...
(photo: partizan.rs)

In the 27th minute Grbić had an attempt, he shot from the distance in the middle, but the goalkeeper caught it.
Two minutes later Vulićević was dribbling on the right and passed to Andrija Živković. Žile kicked the ball to the middle, it ended in a corner kick

while the Bulgarian striker was just watching in amazement from the shadow of a defender

Ninković shot the corner kick into the penalty area. It caused a great goalmouth scramble, then Ostojić took the chance, took advantage of the scramble and shot the ball into the net. 1:1

Here Ostojić is just watching, while Jevtović is fighting in the air with Javor’s defender...
(photo: partizan.rs)

...then the ball drops to him and he shots
(photo: hotsport.rs)

GOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!!
(photo: partizan.rs)

(photo: hotsport.rs)

Fans made a bonfire in the southern tribune
(photo: hotsport.rs)

Javor immediately started a counter-attack. It was dangerous, almost this screaming/heart attack type, finally Vulićević and Fabricio inactivated Javor’s attacker.
In the 33rd minute Grbić got the ball and passed it to the middle. Javor’s goalkeper picked the ball just one moment earlier than Bojinov’s arrival there.
Then in the 36th minute Andrija Živković got a pass on the right side. He was dribbling and dribbling, then he looked up at the penalty area line, shot and scored a giant goal. 2:1, ole ole ole!

(photo: partizan.rs)

(photo: hotsport.rs)

Hey, people! This team was FIGHTING! They WANTED to win! Okay, it was still not this good old "I put my heart, my soul and my lungs out to the field" kind, but there is improvement, definitely. And that’s GOOD! VERY GOOD!
Please, keep it up!!!!

Until the end of the first half the only things that happened left were the clash of Lukić and a Javor-player, which was so hard that the latter one had to be taken off the field with the small electric trolly. While another Javor-player dribbled around Bojinov, tricking the hell out of the Bulgarian.

He literally came round Bojinov, hiding the ball from the Bulgarian for the whole time, while Bojinov could hardly follow him. Eventually the guest team player ran away with the ball and a victorious smirk on his face.

At the very end Gafurov had a try, he was dribbling on the right side, finally he shot the ball on the side net.

(photo: partizan.rs)

The pace slowed down for the second half. Javor-players seemingly made fun of Bojinov constantly tackling him, making Bulgarian fall on the ground every time. The guests tried to make some attack, without much success. In the 60th minute we got a free kick, about 25 metres from the goal line. Fabricio stood behind the ball, he made his usual flat shot, but the ball rolled out of the field. Goal-kick - but Bojinov stole the ball from Javor’s defenders. He shot it to the middle, but a defender, who ran back right there, was quicker than Lukić (if I could see well). They ran up for a counter-attack on the left side, up to our goalmouth. The pass arrived to the middle, but Živko Živković arrived with fantastic timing, just one step earlier than the attacker of Javor.
In the 63rd minute Grbić was kicked to the ground inside Javor’s penalty area. Penalty kick, it was clear-cut. At the same time the referee showed the red card to Gajić, who kicked Grbić. It was his second yellow card, Gajić immediately had to leave the field.

(photo: partizan.rs)

Andrija Živković stood behind the ball.

(photo: partizan.rs)

He ran up, shot... and Đogatović was extremely lucky tonight. He saved it.
In the 67th minute Nemanja Petrović sent an excellent pass to Bojinov at Javor’s penalty area. The Bulgarian thanked it, then rushed up to the goalmouth of Javor and ruthlessly kicked the ball into the net. 3:1

(photo: partizan.rs)

(photo: hotsport.rs)

Bojinov and his very special way to celebrate
(photo: partizan.rs)

In the 71st minute Vulićević was dribbling on the right and passed to Andrija Živković in the middle. Žile shot from the penalty area line, but it was too high.
Two minutes later we made a counter-attack. Grbić ran up on the left and shot, but it ended in a corner kick.
Then Lukić also had to be taken off with the electric trolly to get medical attendance, but Lukić came back to the field after two minutes, because he is a hero. Javor almost scored a goal, well, actually they indeed scored in the 89th minute, but the referee invalidated it, because the goal scoring player was on offside. We were already in the extra time, Partizan-players passed the ball to each other as if it was some leasure time, fans were singing with enthusiasm, when Kolaković stole the ball, ran up and shot from 25 metres. He scored. 3:2
But it doesn’t matter. We won. And that’s what matters.

Ljubinko Drulović had a perfect debut
