Season preparations started for the basketball team

Partizan's basketball team has started the preparations for the 2015/16 season, with reduced number of players, still with serious financial difficulties, but with unbreakable steadiness and persistence.
The current team, as of those players who were present: Milenko Tepić, Petar Aranitović, Vanja Marinković, Mihajlo Andrić, Ioannis Kouzeloglou, Miloš Glišić, Božo Đumić and Miloš Koprivica. Edo Murić was absent, he still hasn’t recovered from his shoulder injury.

Of course, the media was also present.

Milenko Tepić was present, even though his future is still unclear.
- As of now, my situation is still unsolved. Right now I’m here to help the team and to help myself. We’ll see.
Duško Vujošević had his usual, outspoken style.
- The team is seriously damaged. There are barely a few players from the previous season and it’s understandable. That’s what I have been talking about for 3 years now, but nobody listens, except for our fans.
He continued: - Some say, as long as I am Partizan’s trainer, no sponsor will come to the team. If there is any serious sponsor, and this is their condition, I will leave Partizan’s bench or I’m willing to work for 1 euro, if that ensures the team’s well-being. But I can claim it will never happen, because current political forces work against Partizan. I was even told to let government party SNS people enter Partizan’s management, because that would surely solve all financial problems. I can guarantee though, even if I leave, the team will surely not get any financial support.

Duško Vujošević is the only person who speaks up against the current regime this openly. Others usually keep silent or just try to survive.
Big big respect.

A few new players appeared, but the trainer couldn’t say anything sure about them yet.

19-year-old Nikola Lučić from Montenegro, who played for Bilbao-based team Mikeldi

19-year old Nikola Tanasković from Partizan’s youth school

No. 8 is Martin Matović, who is currently without team. No. 12 is Pavle Reljić, who played earlier for Romanian team Timba Timisoara

Ognjen Rebić, who arrived from St. Clouds State University, USA

Fans were there and greeted the team with big ovation.

Then they started to work

Photos of the day - team building

Everyone's favourite football team has been spending their days in Slovenia at a training camp. Nevertheless today they decided to loosen up and go on a spree.
They went to play paintball to the nearby forest. Team building activity, ole ole ole.
They divided to 4 teams. The first team consisted of physiotherapist Vladimir Radeka, Milan Lukač, Miroslav Bogosavac, Predrag Luka, Nenad Marinković, Filip Kljajić and Saša Ilić.
The second team included Stefan Babović, Petar Grbić, Miroslav Vulićević, Saša Lukić, Nemanja Petrović, Miloš Ostojić and Nemanja Kojić, while the third Živko Živković, Nikola Trujić, Lazar Ćirković, Valeri Bojinov, Ivan Bandalovski and club doctor Ilija Rosić. Finally in the fourth there was Darko Brašanac, Marko Golubović, Nemanja Glavčić, Aboubakar Oumarou, Marko Jevtović and physiotherapist Igor Krtinić.
You can imagine.

All smiles and enthusiasm in the beginning

If you recognize any player behind the masks, tell into the comment box

Bogosavac is enthusiastic, Marinković is all ears

Bogosavac still has a big smile on his face, while Luka gives an encouraging pat on Saša Ilić’s shoulder

If there’s any video about it, I’ll post it, I promise. It’ll be a must-see.

Football news

Former goal scorer and demigod of FK Partizan, current Lokomotiv Moscow player Petar Škuletić celebrated his 25th birthday yesterday.

A belated Happy Birthday to him! Srećan rođendan, Škule!

His teammates made him a video as a gift, where they all tell what a great guy Škule is.
He got cake, too.

In the meantime Partizan signed Cameroonian player Aboubakar Oumerou. Aboubakar has already played at numerous clubs of the Serbian superliga, e.g. Vojvodina, OFK Beograd as well as Crvena Zvezda. He signed for 2 years and after the medical checkup he joins the team that is currently on training camp in Slovenia. Aboubakar's jersey number will be 15.

I could say so many things on it. Probably the same that comes to your mind right now, dear fellow fan who is reading this. Let's agree in the jolly-joker term "we'll see".

Meanwhile our sons found their place at Arena Hotel and training complex in Pohorje, Slovenia, where they continue the preparations for the 2015/16 season.

It was great to see Predrag Luka in the team. Not so long ago some rumours were spread that Luka might be put on loan to Novi Pazar. I don’t want to quote those nasty curses the humble author of this blog started to yell when hearing about it. Come on, people! We want Predrag Luka to the starting eleven!
(feel free to use it as a hashtag #PredragLukaToTheStartingEleven)

"Okay, boys, so there's that winding road. You run uphill on that 3 times in a row, until then we go and have some ćevapi. Good luck!"

Here is an approx. 15-minute-long video about all the training camp fun.
