Ragbi Klub Partizan - RK Rad Mozzart 25:15

There was a rugby match in the weekend, I got to know it only now. Oh well, better later than never.
The official report of rugbyserbia.com called this game a "derby" - well, derby or not, we took the lead already in the 4th minute. Nikola Glišić made a try, Đorđe Preradojević had an excellent conversion (5:0). The team kept on attacking bravely and aggressively for the whole time, as a result we were leading to 12:0 in the 8th minute with Igor Danojević’s try.
In the 14th minute it was already 17:0, Velibor Srećković signed himself among the scorers. Rad tried to pick themselves together, without much success. Before the end of the first half we jumped to 20:0, because it’s always better to be safe than sorry. Aleksandar Radić made an excellent try.
For the second half the guests walked out to the pitch with much more bravery and aggressivity. As a result they reduced the difference in the 45th minute to 20:5. Still Partizan’s defense line worked perfectly, we even had great counter-attacks - so great that in the 63rd minute our advantage grew back to 20 points with Aleksandar Krstić’s drop goal (25:5).
Rad didn’t give up. Not much later they earned points again, then just before the end they made a try again (25:15).

RLK Partizan - Crvena Zvezda 20:30

I got to know about this game by chance. As usual, nobody ever mentioned it ever.
And we lost, too. In a twisted way.

Early in the first half Zvezda had a successful try (0:6). We fought hard, we had heavy clashes, and then we could finally earn a try (4:6).

A bit later we took the lead with a giant touchdown.

The problem was that Zvezda took back the lead in the very last minute of the first half (8:12).
In the second half we were struggling. The opponent was leading to 8:18, when we could make a successful try (12:18). Right after that the difference was back to 10 points (12:22). Then the referee invalidated our touchdown, that touchdown we could earn so hard.
Right after this a Zvezda-player grabbed the ball, ran through the forest of shocked Partizan-players and threw the ball to our area with a nasty grin. 12:28, then conversion, 12:30. It just can’t be.
The rest of the game was spent with bitter fight and heavy Zvezda-pressure. For the end we were stuck behind our 22-metre-line. Perhaps that was our luck. Because in the last few minutes someone from us grabbed the ball. The entire Partizan started to run up and we made a fantastic try that was thankfully validated by the referee. (16:30).
At the very end we made the same scenario, but we had time only to reduce the difference to 10 points. (20:30)

Ragbi Klub Partizan - Dorćol 30:20 (1st league, round 2)

The first round started right with the eternal derby, but I lacked, still lack any kind of report about it. I found only a photo report that I shared earlier on the blog’s Facebook-page. Now we have a real report, thanks to ragbiligesrbije.rs.

At the beginning of the game Dorćol attacked heavier and after 10 minutes they were leading to 0:6. It wasn’t easy to break out of their pressure, but Partizan is Partizan, not a bunch of prissies to get scared and run away. We took a deep breath, attacked and in the 17th minute Vladimir Milutinović had a successful try (4:6). In the 25th minute Dragan Janković made the same, followed by the perfectly precise conversion by Jašari. Aaaand, we were leading (10:6).
What is more, the Janković-Jašari duo did the very same in the 33rd minute. Janković had a successful try, Jašari put the dot on the "i" with his conversion, making us lead to 16:6. That was the result of the half-time, too.
In the second half we took control over the game. In the 48th minute Vlado Kušić made a try (20:6). Dorćol earned 6 points in the 56th minute (20:12), but Kušić brought us 4 more (24:12). The guests didn’t give it up either (24:16), but in the 69th minute Srbljanin and Jašari made it clear who’s the boss (30:16). At the very end, just two minutes before the final whistle Dorćol could earn 4 points, but the victory was clearly ours.

And then this.
Also, I got to know about it belated, just today, when it jumped into my face from the news feed.

If there’s anything that totally freaks me out is the lack of information. Those in charge should respect at least the players and the League to supply the public with information, for God’s sake.

So, the boys went to the Jajinci playing field. It was very cold, but they still grabbed the opponent by their throat.
We jumped to 6:0, our young talent Džavid Jašari made a fantastic job. 10 minutes later Zvezda equalized (6:6), but Jašari was unstoppable. We took back the lead to 12:6.
Then something happened. No one knows what it was, but nothing seemed to work for Partizan. Zvezda took advantage of it and reduced their difference to 12:10. Six minutes later they took the lead (12:16) and continued to stamp us into the ground. The half-time result was 12:20.
In the beginning of the second half we tried to make up lost ground. Jašari was joined by Dario Abidinović and the two made it for Partizan to have only 2 points of difference (18:20). Still Zvezda sped up (18:24), what is more, nine minutes later it was already 18:30.
They didn’t want to slow down (18:34). Finally, around the 65th minute we picked ourselves together. Stefan Ilić scored (24:34), but even this was not enough to stop the red team. 24:38, then24:44, finally at the very end Jašari saved us (with the great help of Leo Dodić) and settled the end result (30:44).

3 in 1 - volleyball, water polo and rugby

I owe you a few results from the week-end, now you get them all in bulk.
I start with the bad news, okay?...
Partizan’s volleyball team visited Novi Pazar in the 3rd round of the superliga and practically they were served with a K.O. The home team had an easy, 3:0 victory over us. They won the first two sets most probably without any special effort (the result of the first was 25:14, the second ended with 25:19). We picked ourselves together for the last part, we were even leading for a while, but Novi Pazar turned out to be stronger.
The hero of the day was again Dimitrije Pantić with 18 points

he is followed by Luka Veličković (9 points) and Aleksa Polomac (5 points). Marko Popović and Ivan Kostić both earned 4 points, while Dušan Lopar and Boris Buša both scored 3.

The water polo team welcomed PVK Jadran in the 7th round of Triglav Liga.
It wasn’t a happy match. The guests were leading for the whole time. The first quarter ended with 2:3, it became 5:8 for the half time. At the end of the third quarter guests were leading to 8:11, and the game ended with 10:12.
The best player of the match was actually our goalkeeper Dimitrije Rističević, with 11 saves (at the other side Kandić had 7 saves). Among our goal scorers Gavril Subotić was the best with 3 goals, followed by Nikola Jakšić (2 goals). Lukas Gilen, Marko Manojlović, Radomir Drašović, Đorđe Tanasković and Filip Radojević all scored 1-1 goal.

And finally some good news: Partizan’s rugby team won over Crvena Zvezda to 30:26 and so they qualified to the championship final, where they’ll clash with Dorćol for the title.

All in one

In the past days I had no internet connection, so now you get all the events of the previous days in one.

In the 6th round of the handball superliga Partizan played eternal derby with Crvena Zvezda at the Banjica sports hall. It could have been a very tough clash, Zvezda was leading in the first time always with 1-2-3 goals, but then in the 14th minute we equalized with Radojković’s goal, then Đuričić shot and we took the lead for a short while. At the end of the first half the standing was 10:10, when Mršulja scored, probably right before the buzz, setting the half-time result to 11:10.
In the second half we kept on leading until the 40th minute, when Zvezda equalized, then they took back the lead. From then on we could only equalize here and there, even though we struggled  hard. The end result of the match was 20:22.

The volleyball superliga started last weekend. Partizan visited Vojvodina in the first round. In the first game Partizan was leading to 11:16, but Vojvodina switched the standing and won it to 26:24. In the second set was more narrow, Partizan leading to 7:8 in the beginning, but later it was 16:13 and finally the Novi Sad team won again to 25:19. In the third part the home team was leading for the whole time, winning it to 25:21 as well as the match to 3:0. The hero of the day was Dimitrije Pantić with 12 points. No photos are available, because all sports sites are a bunch of fat monkeys not even just mentioning volleyball results.

I don’t get into details, I guess everyone has seen the match together with the lousy, corrupted referees and that one, goddamn basket by the opponent, that was scored after the end buzz, and the referees still validated it.

In the 15th round of Jelen SuperLiga Partizan met Mladost at an away match.
I won’t get into details now, okay?...
Everyone could see, it was a very bad, very muddy, cursed game, Mladost scoring right at the beginning (1:0). We equalized with Babović’s goal only in the 48th minute (1:1), then we picked ourselves together and took the lead with Grbić scoring in the 79th minute (2:1), but in the 88th minute Mladost scored a terrible goal, equalized and kept one point at home.

May I have a frank question?
Who is this Babović that he can always make it back to the starting eleven at every coach, and he is never ever substituted at any game, just doing some alibi hanging around on the field? How is it possible that so far nobody did (or nobody could) throw out this talentless, wooden-legged show-off from the team?

Some good news as well: Partizan’s rugby team WASHED OFF Crvena Zvezda in the Serbian Cup final with a shining victory of 21:13.

RLK Partizan - RLK Crvena Zvezda 40:10

This match was played on Sunday afternoon. Now, on Tuesday night there’s still no report in any media about it. Even the rugby association’s website keeps silent about this game, not mentioning even the result and/or names. It’s not even known what kind of a match it was, league, cup or just a friendly wrestling. I get that the entire league is amateur, but at least the attitude shouldn’t be this amateur. Show respect at least to the players.

So, the two teams walked out to FK Heroj 1925’s field on a rainy Sunday afternoon, when after a jovial mud-wrestling Partizan won the game. We took the lead in the beginning (6:0), at this point the opponent could equalize (6:6), but after then we kept it all under our control.
