Handball: 1 blogpost, 3 games (superliga, round 4 and 5 + postponed game from round 1)

Mea maxima culpa. I’m lagging behind with the handball games too much. Round 4 was back on 24th September. Jugović was our guest in the Banjica sports hall. We won against htem to 32:30, even though it seemed the result will be better on the guests’ side based on the first half. They were leading for the whole time, the half-time result proved it (15:16). In the second half we were better, though Jugović could still took the lead for a short while. But we equalized in the 43rd minute with Kukić’s goal (22:22), then Ivanović took us back the lead. From then on we kept the game under control leading always with 1-2 goals.
The hero of the day was Nemanja Živković with 10 goals. He is followed by Lazar Kukić (6), Nikola Ivanović and Aleksa Maksić (4-4), Vuk Milenković and Igor Mršulja (3-3) as well as Matija Pižurica (2).

The postponed derby against Metaloplastika was played on 28th. It was a very tough game to say the least. Metaloplastika was leading to 0:5 in the beginning, we scored our first goal in the 8th (!) minute by Nemanja Živković (1:5). After 15 minutes it was 4:9... but we didn’t give it up. We jumped to 9:10 in the 20th minute, and 3 minutes before the end we took the lead (13:12). Kukić scored the leading goal, he had a fantastic performance for the entire match. We were leading in the half-time as well (14:13).
The second half brought a nip-and-tuck game. One goal for Partizan, one for Metaloplastika... Sometimes Partizan could have a small 2-goal advantage, but Metaloplastika always equalized. The final result was also a draw, 30:30.
Lazar Kukić was the best scorer (9), followed by Nemanja Živković (6), as well as Vuk Milenković, Nikola Ivanović, Aleksa Maksić and Igor Mršulja (4-4).

Finally the last game from round 5. Partizan visited Dinamo in Pančevo. It was... well it was brutal. We had no chance. At the beginning we tried to keep the pace (3:4), then Dinamo equalized and from then on they were leading until the end buzz. They didn’t just keep the lead, they kept on humiliating us... 14:9, 16:11, and that was just the first half. The second was worse. 20:11, 23:15, too big difference for the whole game. Finally the home team won to 31:26.
The two heroes of this battle are Darko Stevanović and Lazar Kukić, both with 6 goals. They are followed by Igor Mršulja (4), Nemanja Živković, Vuk Milenković and Nikola Ivanović (3-3) as well as Stefan Jokić (1).

Jugović - RK Partizan 21:21 (superliga, round 12)

The handball team had an excursion to Kać today to clash with Jugović. The home team used to have better days - in the previous season they even had the chance to get the championship title, while in the current one they have 5 victories, 5 defeats and (from now on) 2 draws, having their place at the lower side of the league table.
The game started very well. (Kać can be a beautiful town in Vojvodina, with atmospheric little streets. How nice it could be to have a walk before the match, maybe even drinking a coffee or something like that.) Our boys walked out to the court and the standing immediately became 0:4 (Kukić started, Živković scored two, then Popović also threw one). It all looked great, just Jugović equalized in the 17th minute (5:5). No problem, we took back the lead with Pižurica’s goal (5:6). We kept leading, sometimes the home team equalized (8:8 in the 27th minute, then 9:9 in the last one), then right before the buzz Živković and Mršulja quickly scored 1-1 goal, so we finished the first half with 9:11.
In the second half we kept the lead with much more confidence, then in the 41st minute, when the standing was 14:17, Jugović got into power play (Đuričić had to sit out to the bench for 2 minutes) and started to reduce the difference. Their player Beloš scored two goals, the standing was 16:17. Radojković quickly shot and scored (16:18), but from this point on the difference was much smaller and Jugović was right behind us with 1-2 goals only. Finally in the 54th minute they equalized (20:20) and even though Kukić scored one more goal (20:21), the home team equalized again in the 57th minute. For the rest of the game none of the teams could score.
The hero of the day was Lazar Kukić, who just turned 20 this Saturday - he celebrated his birthday with 8 goals. He is followed by Nemanja Živković (5), Ivan Popović (4), Igor Mršulja (2) as well as Matija Pižurica and Mihajlo Radojković (1-1).

Photos will be available probably later, as soon as I find any, I update the post.

RK Partizan - Jugović 34:22 (superliga, round 3)

Partizan’s handball team had an easy victory against Jugović in the 3rd round of the superliga. At first the two teams kept the pace with each other. Partizan was leading with one, maybe two goals. Jugović sometimes equalized. 1:1, 2:2, 4:3, 6:5, 9:7, then 12:7, 15:8, 18:8... We finished the first half with 20:9.
We continued our triumphal march in the second half as well. 21:10, 23:11, then at this point the guest team reduced the difference to 23:16. What is more, 15 minutes before the end it was only 4 goals Jugović was behind us with (24:20). Partizan sped up and started to score in a row. 25:21, 29:21, 32:21. Jugović scored one last goal one minute before the end (32:22), but Partizan had enough time to score two more before the end buzz.
The hero of the day is Mihajlo Radojković with 7 goals. He is followed by Igor Mršulja (6), Nemanja Živković (5), Stevan Sretenović and Aleksa Maksić (4-4), Ivan Popović (3), Đorđe Šotra and Lazar Kukić (2-2), finally Mihajlo Stošljević scored one goal.
When there’s any photo or video about the game, I’ll immediately refresh the post, as usual. League table will be served tomorrow.

RK Partizan - RK Jugović 25:28 (SuperLiga play-off, Round 2)

At the half-time we were still on the lead.
What is more, I could watch the first few minutes of the match via sportuzivo.tv

and if the organizing of sports events were not this very goddamn brilliant, that they put ALL, handball, water polo and football on the very same day, then who knows, I could have watched it til the end, but noooo

Jugović took the lead in the beginning to 3:5. We could switch the standing to 8:6, and there was even a part of the game when we were ahead with 13:10. The half-time result was 18:17, then in the second half, around the 39th minute the guest team switched the standing back to their benefit, making it 21:22. Plus, Jugović’s goalkeeper Mirosavljev pulled down the shutters

I hope his hands were at least engilt after the game by teammates

and the guests can thank their victory mostly to him, he had 16 savings altogether during the game, from this he made 11 in the second half.
A big high five goes to the webmaster of rkpartizan.rs to upload the match report immediately after the game. Thanks. Really.

Match moment: Radojković in action. He was one of those few people who could break through Mirosavljev’s defense lines

RK Partizan - RK Jugović 28:25 (Serbian men’s SuperLiga, Round 11)

It is definitely a big deal to beat the championship leader, isn’t it? Fans took it seriously, too, 800 people visited the Banjica sports hall. Captain Vanja Ilić was the demigod of the evening scoring 7 goals, followed by Mihajlo Radojković (6). Five goals were shot by Stevan Sretenović. Ljubomir Jovanović, Nemanja Živković, Lazar Kukić and Ivan Popović all threw 2-2 goals, while Darko Stevanović and Igor Mršulja added 1-1 scores to the final result. As we were trolls enough to beat the leader, RK Jugović lost their position and landed on 2nd, while Metaloplastika took the advantage and occupied the first place of the championship.

Current standings:
1. Metaloplastika 17 points
2. Jugović 16 points

RK Jugović - RK Partizan 33:21 (Handball SuperLiga Round 2)

I want to take the opportunity and let all those in responsible quarters know, I’d be more than happy if I didn’t have to literally extract the result of the match from the depths of internet and decipher the names of goal scorers and other match facts from a barely readable supervisor’s report. I’d be higly obliged if handball got more space in sports news in general, because if there’s a superleague, we should at least honour the teams, players, coaches and last but not least the fans to publish the results in time. (I don’t even dare to ask for pictures and/or video highlights.)
As for the match, the result was in the opponent’s favour in the half time (15:8). Partizan’s best players were Sretenović, Radojković and Mršulja, each of them scoring 4-4 goals. They are followed by Ilić and Popović (3-3 goals) as well as Jokanović, Stevanović and Živković (1-1 goal).

Current championship standings:

1. Železničar 4 points
2. Crvena Zvezda 3 points
3. Metaloplastika 3 points
4. Požarevac 2 points
5. Jugović 2 points
6. Spartak Vojput 2 points
7. Partizan 2 points

Coming up: RK Jugović - RK Partizan Handball SuperLiga Round 2 today

Today at 7 pm Partizan’s handball team plays against RK Jugović as the guests of the Vojvodina team. The match will be held at the Kać sports hall.
The thing is, I have an absolute lack of information about the match, even the match's starting hour could be found at a sports betting page. Most important is, that Partizan enters the battle from the 4th place of the league table, while Jugović is just one above the last.
