Superliga, round 18: FK Partizan - FK Spartak 1:1

I don’t know what’s there left to be told about this game (or this team) that hasn’t been told a million times. We were shit, we were lame ducks, plus there was the obligatory Đukić-bullshit at the post-match press conference.

I’d love to smash him into the face with something big and heavy. Like e.g. a wrecking ball. I don’t give a single fuck on how much of a cool guy he is or what a great player he used to be (he has never been a good player…) back in the Stone Age. For fuck’s sake, we don’t need fucking buddy boys anymore, we need a professional coach who can make a real team out of this mass of mediocre monkeys.

In the first half I noticed that I didn’t notice Soumah. Not at all. As if he hadn’t been on the pitch. As if he would be scared of the ball that it might bite him. He barely ever touched it, and if he still did, he got rid of it as quickly as he could. And this dude is supposed to be a striker...

Is this Soumah the same player Iliev fought so hard for, to sign last year? Is this pathetic idiot that Soumah? Signed for zillion euros? Iliev, go and fuck yourself, together with this arsehole!

Otherwise it was the same like always. We pushed hard the first 20 minutes, possessing the ball

if football was played for ball possession, we’d be champions forever
unfortunately - or not - it’s still played for goals

but Spartak seemingly prepared for this and gathered around their penalty area, bit like a bunker, and it did work for them. We lost our breath. After the 25th minute Spartak attacked frequently, it’s solely Stojković’s merit that they didn't score. Savković missed two huge chances, first in the 39th minute, the next in the 44th, both saved by Stojke.
We took the lead in the beginning of the second half with Tošić’s goal. (1:0) Don’t ask me how. I have no idea. Well, miracles do happen sometimes.
Afterwards nothing happened, and that happened massively. On both sides. We were the usual lame ducks, Spartak woke up around the 65th minute. The biggest chance of the game happened in the 69th minute, we were kind enough to miss it out. Solomon ran up all alone, shot from a very sharp angle, the ball rolled away along the goal line and left the pitch. Spartak equalized in the 72nd minute, a free kick crossed in, Nikolić headed it into the box. (1:1)

Did we speed up after the equalizing goal? Not at all.
Have we been lame ducks? As always.
How did the team play? Let’s make it clear, the team’s performance can’t be called “play”. They were as if we would be leading with 5 goals, plus as if we would be on the top of the league table with at least 6 points ahead of the neighbourhood.
What is the truth? The truth is that they played exactly like a bunch of idiots who give absolutely no shit.

And after all these Đukić appeared on the post-game press conference with a 24-carat smile and said, the reason we played like shit was that the boys were still tired after Thursday’s game.
No, mofo. These boys are not tired. These boys hate it all.

Spartak Subotica - FK Partizan 2:1 (superliga, round 6)

We interrupt our Olympic broadcast to report about a scandalous, shitty football match, just to get on your nerves.

I really like it (not!), when everyone is so full of themselves before a game, showing off for the media about our chances, then comes such a cold shower that we can't recover from that for a week. Afterwards there is always a bullshit-tsunami in the press about "how very much we didn't deserve this defeat" - yes, you idiots, we did, absolutely, because since when can anybody win with such a terrible, soulless game?... We should be happy to survive with only 2 goals received... This crap would be unacceptable even in the Hungarian championship. Better to pull out your faces from your asses.
Not mentioning the fact that we sold out our Partizan-kids quickly before this round (Golubović signed to Sinđelić, Miladin Stevanović is sold to Turkey, while Brašanac was given away to Guimaraes for 1 million euros). As an encore Iliev announced he would sign a few more players in the near future.
That’s how you destroy a renowned football club. After all these is it still a miracle we got defeated by Spartak?...
Our matches look the same, with the same eleven talentless morons starting eleven and probably the same tactics. And every single game we attack heavily in the first 20 minutes, then we got deflated, the team becomes one grey mass that plays alibi football. We score if one of these bastards is lucky enough to push the ball into the box, then usually in the last 10 minutes we wake up and start to do something that already reminds of football. More or less.
It might be enough in Prva Liga or in the Belgrade league. But not in the superliga.

Even Saša Ilić didn’t have anything extraordinary in his performance. Only his brand-new, yellow armband with that Nike-logo made him come into sight

So, in the first 20 minutes we attacked. We wanted so much to have a quick start and a goal, but we failed. The first really big chance came in the 15th minute, when Mihajlović crossed from the right, someone headed it to the box, but the ball literally slipped on Radović’s head and flew out of the pitch.

It was so bizarre that it might even get to some New Year’s Eve compilation of football flubs, with the usual  Benny Hill theme.

Saša Ilić had a try with a distant shot in the 16th minute (too high), Mihajlović missed out another in the 19th. Then after the 20th minute Spartak, which played defensive footbal until then, started to play with more and more courage, while we slowly started to deflate.

Question of the day: why the hell does Đurđić have to be in the starting 11 every single time? The dude is a big ZERO. I don’t know what performance he has on trainings, but on matches it’s less than nothing. He had no memorable moment so far at all, I could count on one hand how many times he had any encounter with the ball during Partizan’s 8 games in this season.

In the 36th minute Mudrinski had a try with a shot to the target. (Between this and the previous one NOTHING happened.) Then Vulićević sent a distant shot to Spartak’s goal, too high.

Fans were again much more spectacular than the game

At the end of the first half the picture of the game showed a square fight

if we can talk about "fight" at all...

with no attempt on goal though.
Nor in the second half. Okay, there were two shy attempts, one by Farkaš, the other by Everton, but both were way too high. Other than these only minimalist football happened, at least by Partizan. No run. No fight. If this is the maximum they can provide, then all of them should leave ul. Humska as quickly as possible.
We made routine attacks. No fighting spirit, or just the slightest idea about what they should do. Spartak didn’t risk anything. They had one shot on target though in the 59th minute, it was distant and weak, it was maybe enough to wake up Šaranov. In the 61st minute Everton shot from the distance, the goalkeeper had a great save. Right then Bojinov shot, it was too high.
Then in the 68th minute Makarić tackled Everton, then ran up and shot from 17 minutes. Šaranov was wandering around (maybe searching for four-leaf clovers in the grass) in the goalmouth. The ball flew above him, he couldn’t even touch it and landed in the box. 1:0
In the 74th minute Balažic headed the ball on target after a corner kick. Radović pushed the ball just a bit near the goal line - nobody knows why... because this way the ball just missed the box. Plus Radović clashed with the goalkeeper (who needed medical attendance).
In the 79th minute Leonardo suddenly shot from the distance. Spartak’s goalkeeper probably fell asleep, because the ball fell into the box while he was just watching it with amazement. It pretty much looked like a "soft snap goal", but it was inside. 1:1
We couldn’t be happy with the draw too long.

And it says all that we were happy with the draw...

In the 82nd minute Milić scored Spartak’s second and winning goal. He ran up, left Partizan’s defenders behind, Šaranov ran out of the goalmouth, but Milić easily lifted the ball above his head, then he could run to celebrate. 2:1
In the last minutes Partizan desperately attacked, with absolutely no result. Just like at previous games, all our attempts were blocked by defenders. If we could somehow get through the defense line, then goalkeeper Janošević saved with a wide grin. We should say a prayer if we can stay in superliga for the next season.

Spartak Subotica - FK Partizan 0:3 (Serbian Cup, semifinal, return match)

We won. We surely won’t put this game into the window on display, but we won and qualified to the final.

During the first 20 minutes of the match I tried to bring an apparently dead stream link back to life. I failed. I could find then a working stream, but I missed out almost half of the first part. I try to re-construct it by the official match report.

We didn’t waste time. It was just the 2nd minute when Bandalovski and Stevanović played pinball at Spartak’s penalty area. Then Bandalovski crossed to the middle, where Mihajlović arrived. He thanked and immediately shot it from the goalmouth right into the box. 0:1

Bandalovski forwards the ball, Mihajlović is arriving...

...then celebration time

In the 8th minute again Mihajlović had a try, but this time defenders inactivated him. In the 14th minute Spartak came up for a counter-attack to our penalty area. Mrkela possessed the ball, he shot, it was too wide. Then in the 18th minute they got a free kick 20 metres from our box. Again Mrkela tried, this time Brašanac threw himself into the way.
In the 25th minute Bandalovski ran up in the middle. Jočić kicked him to the ground, the referee whistled, free kick for Partizan.

Could someone tell me why Bandalovski received a yellow card here?

Mihajlović stood behind the ball, he shot it into the goalmouth, but Farkaš kicked it downfield. We still possessed the ball, Stevanović passed to Gogoua, but Partizan’s defender started to run backwards for seemingly no reason in the middle of an attack.
In the 28th minute Spartak attacked. Milošević came up on the left side with the ball, wrestling with Bandalovski. Then the Subotica-based player fell on the ground inside the penalty area. It was a very spectacular movement from him, but it didn’t really touch the referee, he didn’t whistle just waved "go ahead". In the 33rd minute again Spartak attacked, now on the right side. Milić (or Šljivić, I didn’t see the shirt number clearly) got a huge pass from deep. He ran up, Šaranov jumped out of the goalmouth and threw himself into the way.

Compared to league matches we played earlier this one was a fast, combative game. I don’t say it was a good game, because there were too many imprecise passes/crosses and mistakes only a beginner can make, but at least players ran a lot, tackled, wrestled, fought, and it was definitely a positive turn.

In the 40th minute Mrkela crossed from the left, but our defenders headed it downfield. We started a counter-attack, but that died away. A minute later Spartak attacked again, our defenders again blocked it, again we started a counter-attack, but Stevanović was stopped. Then in the 44th minute Kosović crossed to the middle, but the defenders were faster than Brašanac.

For the second half head coach Tomić arrived wearing this substitute marker shirt. I had a slight hope he might put himself into action as a substitute player.

In the beginning of the second part Spartak attacked heavily. In the 47th minute Milić had a distant shot from 20 metres, it was too high.
The pace was still fast, just like in the first half, but it slowly turned into a "much ado about nothing"-alike scene. Players made too many mistakes on both sides, being too hasty, while seemingly suffering from the lack of ideas about what to do.

I have to put it here, Saša Ilić can (still) keep the ball like a real professional. These children around him could all learn from him. In the 50th minute he played merry-go-round with a Spartak-player, the opponent wanted to grab the ball from him, but Ilić didn’t allow, leaving the other one puzzled.

The 54th minute brought a Spartak-attempt. A weak shot came from the left, but flew out not even approaching the goalpost.

Meanwhile they were doing nothing on the field, but at least they did it in a very spectacular way.

In the 59th minute Stevanović shot suddenly, from 20 metres, the goalkeeper had a great save.

Lost balls. Imprecise passes/crosses, kicking into the air instead of the ball - that can be the summary of this period.

In the 65th minute Spartak missed out a huge chance. Partizan-defenders fell asleep, the ball dropped here and there causing a goalmouth scramble. Finally Jovanović headed it, but it wasn’t too successful. Then the ball dropped off from Šaranov, too. For our great luck it didn’t end up as a goal for the home team.
In the 69th minute Tomić sent a pass to Stefan Ilić from the half-line. Ilić ran up, Bandalovski was close behind him. Spartak’s player finally shot, Šaranov had a great save. In the 72nd minute Šaranov presented another big save - Partizan’s defense line was again out of order, Novaković took advantage of it and shot, Partizan’s goalkeeper did his job.
In the next few minutes we had a number of attempts. It was mostly Mihajlović, who dribbled himself in front of the box, but the defenders blocked him. The pace of the game slowed down, though mistakes and lost balls came more often. In the 80th minute the referee showed the red card for Mudrinski (after his second yellow card).
In the 84th minute Mihajlović dribbled on the right side, then crossed to the middle. Vlahović arrived and headed the ball right into the net. 0:2

The pace slowed down completely. Spartak seemed to resign themselves to the defeat, though the coup de grace was still left.
90th minute. Mihajlović arrived with the ball on the left side. He crossed it to Stevanović in the middle, he forwarded it out to the right side to Bandalovski. The Bulgarian shot, the ball rolled ahead dropping and hopping all the way, passing by the goalkeeper, hitting the left goalpost, ending his way in the net. 0:3

The final takes part on 11th May, we'll play against Javor Matis.

FK Partizan - Spartak Subotica 0:0 (Serbian Cup, semifinal)

Catastrophal, scandalous anti-football, impotent game. It says all that we couldn’t score one single goal to Spartak, that Spartak that can be found at the lower regions of the league table and which played with 10 players (!!!) for more than a half.
Shame, disgrace, scandal.

10 minutes before the kick-off the stands were this empty

(photos: Twitter)

At the beginning of the match Spartak put us under a very uncomfortable pressure. We could get to their penalty area only in the 6th minute for first, but even then it was far from being dangerous.
Other than this nothing happened. Spartak possessed the ball more, but they didn’t bild up an attempt until the 17th minute. It was Mrkela then, who ran up on the right side, but Bogosavac blocked him with fantastic timing.

That was the most spectacular moment of the game.

The next "event" came in the 19th minute, it brought a smaller fight among players (pushing each other, yelling, Saša Ilić complained), then it all calmed down.
Then again nothing happened. Nothing ever. It’s very rare that you can see such boredom on a football field.

It was so boring that a fan rather read comics
(photo: Twitter)

Even Jevtović’s terrible shot was an "event" (the ball flew out metres away from the goal), when it hit a defender and ended up as a corner kick.
In the 29th minute Stevanović came up with the ball on the right side among defenders. Finally he tried to shoot from a totally impossible angle. The goalkeeper saved, probably in autopilot mode (he probably didn’t even wake up).
In the 33rd minute Saša Ilić had a distant shot. This was our first actual attempt that meant danger for the goal. (It says all that this only attempt was by the team’s veteran player.)
Both teams made awful mistakes, both sides lost the ball too many times. I was howling sometimes from actual physical pain it all caused me. In the 37th minute Spartak’s defense line made a huge mistake. Brašanac got the ball, he sent a flat shot to the goal, but it was too wide.
In the 40th minute we ran up for a counter-attack after a Spartak-corner. Mihajlović possessed the ball, he ran up with the ball through the entire field, making a fantastic solo, then he shot, missing the goal with just a few centimetres.
The 44th minute brought another fight. As it could be seen from the slow motion replay, Tumbasević and Bogosavac clashed  (Partizan’s defender tackled Tumbasević, then they started to yell at each other, finally Spartak’s player pushed Bogosavac to the ground). The referee immediately showed Tumbasević the red card, sending him off the field.

(photo: hotsport.rs)

The second half brought the most horrible bunker football by Spartak and terrible, outrageous, absoulte anti-football by us.
In the 49th minute Bandalovski passed to Stevanović from the right side. Stevanović shot, the goalkeeper caught it. In the 51st minute Bojinov got a great pass, but when he shot, the ball flew out metres away from the goal.

Bojinov was a total disaster. He didn’t play this terribly for long. As if he didn’t even see the goal line, just kept on kicking the ball at haphazard.

In the 53rd minute Bogosavac crossed to Mihajlović at the other side, but Mihajlović hit the ball like a U6-player. I just facepalmed.
Spartak sometimes broke out of the bunker, but I had the impression for the whole time they didn’t really want to attack. Obviously they were told in the half-time to block every single of our attempts, not allowing us to score and preferably not risking an attack, when the defense line might open up too much. They came up only once to our penalty area, in the 61st minute. Ivanović shot from the distance, almost hitting the crossbar. We started a counter-attack right then, Bojinov got the ball in the middle, but this time he made an even more ridiculous shot than the previous one.
In the 64th minute Kosović shot, it was too high.

(photo: hotsport.rs)

Here came a period when we attacked continuously. We shot almost in every minute to the goal, but every single attempt was imprecious, too wide or too high. Mihajlović tried, Stevanović (he had numerous attempts), Saša Ilić, but all were in vain. The goalkeeper had to throw himself into the way only at Saša Ilić’s shot.
Spartak left nothing to chance. They didn't leave the bunker, they blocked most of our attempts and we just couldn't break through them.

Spartak was playing only with 10 players. Just sayin'.

They came up to our penalty area in the 84th minute, but they just showed themselves, without any actual attempt.
We kept on attacking, lacking every idea. In the 85th minute Bojinov had another try, but this time the goalkeeper had a giant save by leg. A minute later Vlahović got a pass, but he couldn’t make any attempt out of it.  The tense grew bigger and bigger on the field, players were yelling with each other, disappointed fans were shouting louder and louder. Spartak-players did everything to keep us away from the goal, and we, well, we were just fumbling.
We got a free kick in the very last minute, 30 minutes from the goal line, but defenders headed Bojinov’s shot downfield.
It was high time for the final whistle.
Return match will be held on 20th April.
