Anniversary

It is 59 years ago today that Partizan played their first ever European Champion Clubs’ Cup (today Champions League) match, on 4th September, 1955.
The opponent was Sporting CP from Portugal. The two teams met in Estádio Nacional in Lisbon at 5 pm. 40 000 spectators visited the match, the referee was Edouard Harzic from France.

The teams' line-ups as follow:
Sporting CP: Carlos Gomes, Caldeira, Passos, Galaz, Barros, Juca, Quim, Vasques, Martins, Travassos, Hugo
FK Partizan: Stojanović, Lazarević, Zebec, Belin, Pajević, Borozan, Mihajlović, Milutinović, Valok, Bobek, Herceg

The result was 3:3, goals scored by Martins (14.), Milutinović (45.), Milutinović (50.), Bobek (73.), Martins (78.)
