Rad - FK Partizan 0:4 - Jelen SuperLiga Round 4

It was a great, higly enjoyable, exciting match. All of you who missed it out, should be sorry now.

Has anyone really missed it out?...

The game was organized without spectators, behind closed gates.
But not without Miša Tumbas.
Miša Tumbas, the forever loyal Miša Tumbas was there at the Banjica stadium, watching the boys from behind the fence.

The first chance came in the 4th minute, missed by Brašanac. In the 7th minute Lazović got a huge pass from Živković, but the linesman was waving for offside.
Two minutes later, after a throw-in Škuletić had a great solo, but shot the ball right into the goalkeeper. Rad tried with a counter-attack, but the ball flew out of the field above the goalpost.
It was a quick-paced, exciting match, full of action, even in the beginning with fantastic dribbles and it got only better as the match was going on. In the 10th minute Škuletić was trying again, then two minutes later an unbelievable Vulićević-Grbić teamwork ended up as corner. In the 14th minute a a free kick by Živković was followed by a fantastic Branko Ilić-Marković interplay. Average Fan was squeaking from joy.
After the 15th minute Rad got a chance, but Jelić’s weak shot rolled off in front of the goal line. Then in the 18th minute Branko Ilić cleared the Partizan penalty area with a great move. (It wasn’t the last of such actions by the Slovenian defender, he saved the team from quite a few dangerous attacks in the first half.)

The 21st minute brought another great chance. Vulićević earned a corner for Partizan, then Stanković’s shoot was blocked by Rad defenders.
Then in the 26th minute Lazović ran up on the right side and passed to Škuletić with a move that should be taught at academies. The striker simply walked in the net with the ball. 0:1
The 29th minute was again Branko Ilić time, a minute later Lukač had a marvellous save after a dangerous heading.
It happened some time around the 30th minute that Vulićević was kicked onto the ground about the x-th time. The defender did a great job for the whole match, he reached the speed of a lightning and once he got the ball, he sped up and ran towards the opponent’s penalty area on the right side.
In the 33rd minute Grbić ran up to Rad’s goal line, but he was blocked by a defender. 3 minutes later Lazović got a great pass, but shot the ball into the goalkeeper. Not much later came a fantastic Živković-Lazović-Grbić teamwork (pity it was missed out). Then in the 39th minute it was again Branko Ilić blocking an attack. (Then one of those silly little boys tried to shot it, but didn’t think of Lukač.)
The 42th minute brought the world’s most ridiculous goal. Lazović got the ball, shot it, the goalkeeper wanted to save it by falling straight, right on the ball. But it slipped through his hands and rolled into the net with a grin on its round face. 0:2

I seriously felt sorry for Rad’s goalkeeper.

At the beginning of the second half Rad had a weak trying. In the 48th minute Živković’s free kick was saved by the goalkeeper.

Živković in action some time during the match

Rad tried to speed up, in the 50th minute we could thank Saša Marković that a dangerous attack avoided Partizan’s goal line. Then in the next minute Average Fan got wet from cold sweat as Veselinović missed out a chance with a shot from the five-meter line just above the goalpost.
The 57th minute brought another tricky situation. A Rad player fell on the ground inside Partizan’s penalty area, it very much looked like a penalty-suspicious action. Yet the referee waved "go ahead" and Partizan started a counter-attack...
...and 0:3. After a fantastic, genious, amazing Živković-Škuletić teamwork Lazović scored a HUGE goal. Right into the net.

He was this very happy afterwards

The 59th minute brought another Rad-chance, but the ball rolled out of the field far from the goalpost. In the 62nd minute Partizan missed out another, after a pass from Lazović Škuletić headed it above the goal just a few steps away from the goal line. Then in the 67th minute Lukač had to do some exercises, probably to avoid catching cold in the pale Belgrade sunshine.
Partizan kept up their pace and enthusiastically brought more and more spectacular chances. In the 69th minute Škuletić passed greatly to Živković, but Rad defenders blocked them. Two minutes later it was again the Montenegrian striker, even the defender that tried to stop him fell on the ground, but Škuletić missed it. Then Vulićević’s shot was saved by the goalkeeper, same as he did with Živković’s bombarding kick.
In the 77th minute Lukač had such a great luck that maybe he should keep an amulet with himself in the future... A shot avoided Partizan’s goal with just a few centimeters, Partizan goalkeeper couldn’t have had too many chances...
In the 79th minute Fofana wanted to increase Partizan’s advantage, but the linesman waved for offside and the referee didn’t validate his goal.

The 81st minute brought again a dangerous Rad-attack, but they were blocked by Partizan’s defenders. Živković got the ball from the counter-attack, dribbled among the defenders in Rad’s penalty area - and shot too high. In the 83rd minute it was a screaming chance for Rad (I mean, Average Fan was screaming from horror). A bombarding shot was saved by Lukač with a great movement. The ball dropped to the goalpost from the goalkeeper’s hand and rolled out to the penalty area.
In the 86th minute, after a HUGE Ninković-Živković-Ninković interplay Fofana got the ball. The Ivorian player nodded and the ball dropped to the net. 0:4

In the last minutes Ninković tried with a shot (missed), then Fofana again scored, but the referee didn’t agree saying Fofana was playing handball right before shooting.
